Toronto Appliance Repair

I live in a condo unit and our management office recommends Toronto Appliance repair for any small appliance repairs for our units. They are a wonderful local company that offer competitive prices and great service.

Our fridge wouldn't cool properly, so called Toronto Appliance Repair to fix the problem. I told them my problem and model #. The next day, George came by with all the parts and fixed the problem. Very happy with the service and the fridge works fine!

DO NOT USE TORONTO APPLIANCE. THEY ARE untruthful AND WILL NOT FIX YOUR PROBLEM. Called them to fix dryer. Charged for it and it wasn't fixed. Called again and they informed us they needed parts. Brought parts and still couldn't fix. Told us we needed a new dryer and there would be NO CHARGE. Received and invoice a month later. Called 3 times to say there must be a mistake and explained what we were told by the repair technician. They sent it to a collection agency who has been threatening our credit rating. Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and Toronto Appliance did not tell the truth to them. VERY UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY

On New Years Day our fridge was not cold, but the freezer side was working. After some online searches it sounded like the defrost heater was broken,

We waited until the next day but found that, like most businesses, everyone was closed since New Years Day was on a Sunday.

We kept calling companies listed here on Homestars and Toronto Appliance Repair actually answered!

We gave him the specs for the fridge, and he agreed it was the heater, so he said he would get the parts first thing in the next day, because the parts warehouse was closed that day like everyone else.

By noon the next day our fridge was working like it should, and paying cash had added benefits! ;)

He offered a lot of good advice on what to look for in the future when buying a new fridge, which I thought was a great added service!

Will definitely call them again.

Completely satisfied with this service. After problems with a dishwasher that had been incorrectly installed, I paid a plumber and a Sears repairman and dishwasher still required a part. Because the dishwasher had been incorrectly installed in the first place, I was informed that the dishwasher was unsafe to use in its current state. However, Sears would not remove and reinstall a dishwasher that someone else had installed. After getting the necessary part from Sears for the Kenmore dishwasher, I contacted Toronto Appliance Repair. Service was prompt and satisfactory and, after months of washing dishes by hand, I now have a dishwasher that is working.

My KitchenAid dishwasher door spring cord broke and George was recommended to me by a colleague. I called and he arranged to come by the same evening to look at the problem. He stated his call fee up front and said he likely had the parts needed. He said he would call before coming over and he did.
He was friendly, very efficient and knowledgeable about appliances and has years of experience repairing large kitchen and laundry appliances. The fact he works evenings makes it convenient for those who work during the day and have no one at home during those hours.
I would not hesitate to recommend him.
