This is a warning to anyone who thinks about using this company or Darryl and Kayla the owners. I have used them several times and every time has gotten worse, until the most recent time where they took our money and refused to finish the project. They left us with a partially finished project and completely upset our lives. They even refused to remove garbage and debris from our property. In fact, they have recently even shut down their company website, so be very wary. They don't really seem to have anyone but one tradesperson named Dave working for them anymore. And several sub-trades have said to me that they won't work with them anymore. If you are currently working with them you may want to check them out carefully. They are pompous, untrustworthy, unprofessional and most recently Darryl, one of the owners, said to me that he hates working and dealing with clients. Darryl's attitude is that clients work for him. They have so little concern for clients now that he actually said that we can't tell them what to do as we are ONLY the clients. Wow, that speaks volumes to what they think about the people paying them. Be aware that they are also grossly overpriced and their quotes are significantly higher than almost any contractor you will find.

We had three quotes, and Darryl's was the highest by about 15%. His response to being more expensive was "that's because we give you premium care." And he was right. The results are spectacular and we are beyond thrilled with our new main floor. While they did not do the kitchen cabinets (we have a relative in that business, I have no doubt that the Bayden kitchen cabs would have been just as amazing.

While the pics are of the kitchen, we also redid the family room, including painting our fireplace. The results were incredible!

Overall, I would definitely recommend Bayden.

There are two things to be aware of:
1) The project was supposed to take 3-4 months, but it took approx 5. I do know, from a previous 2 bathroom reno with someone else that it's normal to run approx 2-4 weeks behind on a major project -- keep this in the back of your head so you don't get frustrated or annoyed. It WILL take longer than expected, no matter who you go with.

2) Be prepared for a lot of dust. Although they took great care to ensure it was minimized, it;s the nature of having a major reno done. You will need a professional duct cleaner and a house cleaner.

Professional, exceptional quality. Our site manager Roger was a pleasure to see every day. He puts the customer first in every situation - is caring, responsive and objective. Bayden finished their job within the allotted time and was responsive to requests during and after the renovation. The quality of the renovation is superior and we never experienced the 'never gets back to us' that we so often heard about other contractors. There were unforeseen issues, however each and every time, they responded quickly and professionally to correct as appropriate. We will use them again without a doubt.

Our 1980’s era two-story was not functional and badly needed an update. Working within our footprint and our budget, Bayden Build and Renovate did a fantastic job on our main floor remodeling project creating a stunning open concept kitchen, dining and seating area, refreshing our powder room and making our favourite family room even cozier. Darryl, Lior and Joanna helped us to realize the design we had been dreaming of for years. They were always responsive to our questions and concerns and pushed us out of our comfort zones to open us to new ideas. Joanna was a mind reader, often knowing what we wanted even before we did. Darryl and team supported us every step of the way. Their crew; Shane, Eric and Allan was professional, cleaned up after themselves and got us through the project on schedule and they did fantastic work. The pride they take in their work really shows. Kayla was a joy to work with and such a great help with the interior decoration, helping us to make the right colour, furniture and finish choices (something that is a challenge for us) which brought everything together beautifully. Trevor was very helpful and allowed us to track our spend against our budget and kept us laughing through the process. Follow up is just a call away if needed. Darryl has assembled a top notch, professional team and we would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to others.

Bayden Homes completed a main floor renovation for us and being a client that could be viewed as "particular", I have to say .... our expectations were met and in many cases exceeded. The Bayden team was professional, present, pleasent and thier individual trades were well executed. With any renovation, there are unexpected events; however, Darryl and team managed expectations, provided context and at the end of the day the job was completed within the timeframe expected and within our budget (notwithstanding the extras we managed through thier Change Order process). We love our new main floor, our dream kitchen and I have to say the compliments are rolling in! Thank you Bayden!
