deck enclosure

For months we have been waiting for a call back to fix a leak and repair one of the windows. They are very nice on the phone and always assure us that someone will call back but to no avail. We feel that the promises they made in regards to warranty had no merit at all. Unfortunately, we would very much caution having work done by this company.

Deck Enclosure

We had Suncoast Enclosures put a large deck cover with two doors on our deck. We put in a new floor to prepare for what was going to be a very worthwhile, life-changing addition that would allow us to enjoy our acreage and the beauty of the outdoors while staying out of the wind and weather. Very soon after the install, there was a rain. The rain came in under the walls. It leaks through the top in numerous places. The attachment to the existing house/eaves was not done correctly and the water just runs in. This will eventually ruin the new floor that was installed, and decreases our ability to enjoy the deck as we are forever wiping up water after a rain. During the first summer Suncoast came 2 or 3 times to look at the problem, and gooped gobs of black/brown caulking (sooo unattractive). That was their solution. We call and text relentlessly and they will not respond or fix the problem, yet they wanted payment. Believing that they would come back to fix it, and because they seemed like such nice guys when you talk to them, we paid more of our holdback. What suckers we were. We went to Edmonton to see them, they said everything we wanted to hear - nothing ever came of it. We finally went back to the home show where we found them in Grande Prairie, to try to get their attention and hopefully they would fix the problem. A couple of guys did come out. He said that he would do whatever it took to make it right, because he agreed it was a mess (his words). We have not seen or heard from them since that day 2 months ago. So sorry that we didn't show locally for this product. Service would have been better and we likely would have an excellent relationship with a different company by now, instead of wasting our time getting frustrated trying to reach Suncoast that obviously doesn't give a crap about us now that they have their money.

We had our deck closed in with screen and aluminum railing, as well as a door.

We had our deck enclosed with an aluminum railing and two different types of screen. One type is lighter and allows air movement and some sun. The other screen is darker and has smaller sized openings. This blocks out some of the sun and wind. The roof is built upwards allowing lots of headroom, my husband is 6'3". Unlike other companies that build from the roofline and go down at a slant,( this leaves little headroom). There is also a door (that locks) installed at the top of the three steps leading up to the deck ( this is covered as well). We can now use our deck three seasons of the year, spring, summer and fall. No bugs allowed. We've used the deck on numerous occasions already. The estimate was right on, the building was done quickly, professionally, and on time. The way the door opened didn't allow the regular lock to be installed ( we would have locked ourselves on the deck). When we called to ask about the lock it was taken care of right away, Daniel (VP of sales from the Edmonton Store) came out and installed it himself. I would recommend this Company to anyone, Great Job done.

Construction of Screen Room

We were very excited to have a screen room built on our back deck and were very happy with the sales person and installer. Once the project was done however, we were no longer able to get ahold of our rep for some follow ups she had promised and especiall when we started noticing some things that needed touched up on the structure. We love our screen room and spend many hours in it, it is just unfortunate that the experience was marred by bad follow up.
