I purchased valance lights for my kitchen renovation explaining that each light will be hardwired. At the time of purchase, I was given a good price and friendly service.
When my electrician came to install the lights, I was told that these are meant to be daisy chained, not individually hardwired.
I returned to the store to let them know this and they said that I need to then purchase a separate electrical box and wire for each one to make it all work. They gave me a discount because of their error but it still ran me an extra $60.
When my electrician came a second time, he told me that the wire wold not fit into the boxes they sold me. Instead, the electrician had to open each box and make it work a different way and then strip the plugged wires that came with the valance lights and hardwire everything manually.
Needless to say, this cost me more for the electricians time and efforts.
I called Empire to let them know this and they asked me what they should tell to the company who makes the lights. I told them they need to refund me my money instead and they agreed and then said they don't want to sell to me anymore so let's finish this.
I think they tried their best but we're not as knowledgeable or accommodating as I would have liked.
