A few weeks ago I upgraded my Rogers to Ignite. I connected everything as instructed and when I went to test out the Ignite tv, I wasn't able to get sound. I have a Panasonic Vierra tv & a Bose surround system. I recognized that the sound issue was due to an incompatibility between Bose & Rogers.
I decided to look on Homestars for an audio/video installer and came across David's Audio & Video Installations. I read some of the reviews and felt that this was the guy. I called David & he called me back. Immediately upon talking with him, I felt at ease and knew he knew what he was talking about. We made an appointment for David to come over.
Upon his arrival, David identified the problem. He did not try to upsell me on any equipment, even though I was prepared to upgrade the Bose entertainment system if the problem could not be resolved. I told David that I liked the functionality of my equipment and he knew exactly what the solution would be.
First, he cleaned up all the exposed wiring and removed things I no longer needed. Then he told me the solution to my problem would be a 4 way HDMI switcher with optical audio out. David's supplier could not supply the necessary part, due to a shortage. I asked David to identify exactly what I needed and that I would source out the part. After doing some research, I found what I was looking for, showed David to make sure this is what he required, and ordered it.
The part came within a few days and David came by the house after I called and told him the part arrived. Everything now works to my satisfaction with great audio and video. There are no more unsightly wires and I am excited to have my man cave back.
I have to say working with David was a pleasure. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He returns calls & responds to emails and more importantly does not attempt to upsell you on equipment you don't need even though I was prepared to purchase a new entertainment system. He is very reasonably priced and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend his services to any of my friends.
