I had scheduled two appointments with Cosmopolitan to have our ducts cleaned and our furnace inspected, both happening on the same day. I was informed by them that the ducts should be cleaned prior to the inspection, and that there were certain windows of time that this could occur.
They said that the duct cleaning crew's last window for this job was between 1PM and 4PM. I assumed that since this was being done by the same company, that they would coordinate this work. I would have preferred an evening or weekend slot, but that wasn't available, so I took a half day off from my work to be on site.
The inspection of the furnace at a reasonable time, but the duct cleaners hadn't arrived prior to this.
I called the company for an update, and they said that the crew crew had trouble with their van and that they would be here around 4. They then stated that they didn't need to have the duct cleaning work done prior, which contravened their earlier statement, but I allowed the inspection to proceed.
I suggested to them that they should communicate better with their clients when these events occur.
4PM became 5PM, and then 6PM. At all intervals, I had called for an update, expressing my displeasure with the lack of communication and service, as we have been a long time customer, having invested many thousands of dollars with their services and equipment.
The duct cleaners finally showed up after 6PM, but were unable to park their van due to our street's configuration, but the previous time that they had cleaned our ducts, this wasn't an issue.
I was on the phone with the company during this, and expressed my displeasure with that day's events. Given that I was I loyal customer, I asked them to talk amongst themselves and try to accommodate us with a favorable solution, or I would render a negative review.
I waited two days, and called today to remind them of this. I was told to expect a call back, but that never occurred. As a result, I no longer can recommend this company.
