Moved into our house last summer. Had a few annoying issues like no power in room if an appliance would run or outlet would be used. Their electrician was professional, knowledgeable and prompt. I had a tight schedule and a possible phantom issue but was all addressed in one visit.

Tell us about the work. They changed a breaker and gfi switch in the garage

The short version is the electrician was friendly, gave good info about methods for future jobs and the work he did was fine, BUT the work was much more invasive than planned and took far longer than I'd budgeted for. There was no indication that this would be the case in advance and no mention of the permit fee (which would not have been required with my preferred, less invasive solution).

What I'd originally wanted was a quote for a larger job, and to have a small job done to at least make the minimum charge worthwhile. This job was not critical for me (relocating a light switch fro behind a door) and I wouldn't have had it completed (or at least not in the way done) if the price had been more clear up front.

While I believe the electrician was trying to minimize the damage to the wall, I would have elected to do it in the fastest way possible regardless of damage. As it was I ended up paying a lot more than planned for a job I could have done 80% given the eventual method used with a bit better communication.

A great job, thanks to John the tech who showed up on time and was very professional. Fixed the problem quickly and effectively.

Replacement of multiple switches over a one hour period. Very good workmanship. I'll be sure to call Rand again when I need help.

Rand has done all our electrical work and has been very trustworthy. We ran into some issues after the most recent job and they fixed the problem within days Their manager Andy demonstrated they care about customer service even on a small job.

Rand has always provided me with exemplary customer service. I have used their skilled electricians for the past 12 years. They have always gone out of their way to help with everyone from recessed lighting to providing timely service and quotes that are very reasonable! Erin is amazing with scheduling and always fits in visits when the need arises, despite the busy schedule this company has. Andy has come to our home to provide a quote and is very professional and timely. Our recent basement with a bathroom, bedroom and tv room would not have have had the quality of work, if not for Rand- they deserve the business and work hard to keep it. Trevor did the bulk of work and he is always on time, courteous and cleans up when done. Thank you Rand!!!

The Tech was great. He came out to replace parts in the controller and then he helped trouble shoot an issue I was having with my chlorinator, he went so far as to google suggestions on taking apart the device and fixed it. That was over and above...I should also say that Dave at head office was excellent on the occasions I spoke with him. He followed up and was very helpful. they are not cheap but I felt we were well taken care of.

I was doing the work myself and got stuck so I made a panic call to Rand Electric. Within half an hour I got a call from a manager who informed me that somebody would be their in an hour. Shortly after Brendan the technician was at my front door and corrected my electrical problem within an hour.
I would recommend this Company without hesitation for their Politeness and Professionalism.

All work done in workman like manner. Very professional. Not chap but well worth the cost.
