I hired major renovations to do a washroom reno. He was paid $4000 up front to buy supplies and do some of the work. We had a minor disagreement and the contractor became very angry, began yelling and stated that he was leaving. He stated that he would be back the next day to collect his things. The next day was Canada Day and I was away. He took his things out of my garage (I gave him the code) so that he could buy things. He returned, took his items and took other things that were mine. I had paid for everything. Somehow he felt that he was justified in taking my money, when he only earned about half of it and taking my supplies. My supplies includes marble slabs, pot lights, fans etc. He knew exactly what he was doing when he took those items. He also had to make another trip to buy more tile for my washroom. He stated that he spent $300, but I had in fact paid for the original tile and it was $45 per case for 3 cases. I also had to redo the plumbing and fix the cupboard and wall that was damaged by him. He also put tile board on 2 walls that should have had regular waterproof drywall. I had to fix the wall which took 3 days to do. He misrepresented himself and I found him to be dishonest and untrustworthy. I rate him 0/5.
