We chose the Xtreme construction team because they were very personable, keen, and we liked how they addressed our concerns and challenges when quoting for the job. We asked for references and consulted with two previous clients who were happy with the work. Unfortunately our experience was not so positive. While the team was extremely cordial and ultimately kept to schedule, we felt that the attention to detail was lacking and the finishings were sub standard. As problems surfaced towards the end of the job, we felt that we became a nuisance, and workers would come and begrudgingly fix oversights or bad workmanship. Our biggest issue was that the bathroom was done so poorly that the team had to re-do it. But not before we complained. It was very disappointing that the bathroom was completed before we realized how bad the job was and at which point everyone admitted it needed to be redone. No one was on site before then to stop the work..they let it get to completion. We have to say we are VERY happy that Xtreme construction agreed to re-do the bathroom entirely at their cost. But still there are issues with finishings - but at the end of it, we just gave up asking for fixes. We will have the get the kitchen re-tiled when we can afford it to make up for bad finishing, the painting needs to be redone in places, painting marks have needed to be removed where possible, we still have issues with installation of an appliance etc etc. The GC is an extremely nice person, but we felt that he wasn't communicating efficiently with us or his team and that what he could really use are a team of people who take more pride in their work and are honourable when making mistakes.
