A Star Tree Experts

We needed a large Ash tree (dead) and an aggressive Silver Maple removed along with stump grinding. We also needed three Maple trees pruned.

After obtaining a wide range of quotes, we went with A-Star based on price and a recommendation along with their advice on what should be done with our trees. We were not disappointed.

The A-Star crew arrived on time and on the scheduled date. They reviewed the work to be done and promptly got started. They finished the job as quickly as they could and even repaired a part of our wooden fence that got damaged in the process (I did not have to request this, they just did it). Clean up was great - they even went to our neighbour's yard to clean up the debris that landed in their yard.

Overall, we are very pleased with A-Star's work and would recommend them to others. Dealing with the office over email is very easy as they are very responsive.

We had an aggressive species -silver maple- growing in our front yard planted by an unthoughtful developer. House is 6 years old and the roots were damaging the front lawn and were threatening to damage to driveway and the house foundations.
They gave us sound professional advice , fixed up dates , and came and removed the trees from 4 town houses , and cleaned up afterwards. Very mechanised process, everything done within 1 hour

Written quote covered various options including topping and trimming of tall evergreen hedges in backyard. Written quote indicated that "if we do the cedars in the back we will include addressing the cedars in the front at no additional cost". Well, they trimmed the back hedges but did not touch the ones in the front. When I inquired about this, the response was that "nobody asked them to do so". This did not make sense to me, but the worst part was that after a couple emails back and forth, and a argumentative phone call, it was clear that they did not want to complete the job...I eventually gave up as my time is more valuable than arguing with these guys.

Adrian came to remove some trees and did a fabulous job. The price was fair and the work was done professionally.

We were informed when the work was being done and they came on time. The crew was very efficient and cleaned up well.

The job was not completed as agreed...the owner left to dump the previous days work and there clearly was a communications problem with his staff. I pointed out to one of his staff that they had missed trimming the agreed upon branches and his answer was "I am not going back up there sir". I should not have had to be the one supervising the work. When Adrian returned, I again pointed out my dissatisfaction and was basically brushed off. Not satisfied.

After having many companies come out to quote the removal of a birch tree and stump, we had A-Star come and do the job. Their price was the best and their work was excellent. Adrian and his team were great!
