We had a wonderful experience with Steven and his co-worker. We first had him come in and give us a quote. We had an awkward HVAC duct on one side of the wall and he was the only one out of all the other contractors we had come price out the job that was able to give an aesthetically pleasing solution. Steven gave me a timeline and stuck to the timeline. During the time he worked in the home, he would always clean up and was very considerate of us working from home. Steven's quality of work is stunning. He surpassed all my expectations. I would definitely hire him again. He also added a shaker look to our island that our orignal kitchen company had quoted us 3x more.

Black Forest Woodworking is run by Steven. Nothing is too much or too complicated for Steven.
He took our computer drawings and built us a floor to ceiling, wall to wall entertainment unit with built in lights, 6 foot fireplace and TV.
Without exaggeration, the quality and workmanship is perfect. It was constructed at Steven's shop, then brought up to our Condo in pieces where Steven and his co-worker (also Steve) installed it in about 2-3 days, including installation of the built-in lighting, the fireplace and the TV.
Steve is fun to work with and offers options and ideas that made our little project so much better.
The price was very fair and we got the best of the best from Black Forest.

We found Istvan by chance years ago but and were thrilled we did. Istvan took the time to listen to our ideas and guided us in coming up with a design that incorporated our ideas, met our budget and looked beautiful. He is very meticulous and talented. Will have him back for our next woodworking project!

A referral from a friend, we called Istvan to build us 2 custom built-ins. One was in an odd spot and shape (corner), but Istvan came up with a concept and when completed - it was beautiful! What a gorgeous piece of furniture!

The other cabinet was also a corner but just a base to hold a large tv and audio components. Again, attention to detail made this cabinet look spectacular.

I would highly recommend Istvan. He was responsive and easy to work with. The quality of his workmanship was top shelf!
