We hired Black Forest Woodworking after getting about three other quotes to build a mantel and shelves around a newly installed gas fireplace. The quote was very reasonable and we were impressed by Steven's approach. He listened to everything that we wanted and instilled confidence that he could deliver. He did not disappoint! The majority of the work was done offsite so that the actual disruption in our home was minimal, pretty much one afternoon. The mantel looks great. Everyone who sees it is impressed. We would hired Black Forest Woodworking again without reservation. Steven was a pleasure to work with.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Steven and his team at Black Forest Woodworking. They were on time for all appointments and the work was done in an efficient manner. Our project was completed ahead of our anticipated time schedule. Steven provided us with great advise on what would and wouldn't work for our space. Our built-in cabinets look great and the attention to detail was excellent. They were able to work in pot lights and electrical outlets into our cabinets. The end result was fantastic. I found Steve on homestars and was thrilled with his obvious experience in woodworking. I had an off centre, large builder mantle, that was never finished.
