Greg is very knowledgeable in his field. I advised him of what I was looking for, and he gave me good options. The cost was reasonable and the work was to my satisfaction. I recommend this company to those who want very good, friendly and knowledgeable service.

One of my side cables rusted out and finally snapped yesterday morning. It was a repair I was not prepared to do on my own, so off to Google I went to find someone local with a good reputation. I emailed two companies and received quotes from both within an hour. The Garage Door Depot was very competitively priced so I found some reviews on this site and decided to give them the job. A few emails later and we were booked for the next day. I was only available after 4:00 pm and that was not an issue for Greg. He arrived on time with a co-worker and a very friendly dog (Dodger). Dodger and my dog played in the front yard while Greg replaced both cables and adjusted the door. They lubricated the door hinges as well. Greg noticed that the door opener wasn't really installed that well and installed a support bracket which now is providing more support for the arm and door. Less stress on the motor, etc. This was not part of the job just something that Greg took upon himself to do. It didn't increase the cost of the job either.

Friendly guys and a job well done. I *WILL* be recommending them to friends and neighbours and will not hesitate to call them again should I have issues with the door or door opener.

Sometimes you just get lucky! That is the way I felt when I contacted Greg Darby. I have an old Stanley door & the bottom weather seal needed to be replaced. Although they no longer make Stanley doors he was able to provide a solution. Greg went above and beyond the call of duty. He replaced the seal but also fine tuned all moving parts on the "old clunker" at a very reasonable price. It works better than it did 22 years ago! Honestly, he is very professional, dedicated and knowledgeable. It is so obvious that he genuinely cares for his customers. When it is time to replace my garage door I will definitely contact Greg. It will be a pleasure to recommend Greg to my family & friends.

The spring in my garage door broke and my car was trapped inside. I couldn't pick my kids up from school and was due to go out at 5! I called The Garage Door Depot and they re-routed a truck to come to my house and replace the spring and free my car. I was EXTREMELY impressed with their service and would highly recommend them.

Called Garage Door Depot and spoke with Greg. He was excellent to deal with and very professional. We had a large dent in the garage door panel. He provided a couple options that were all reasonably priced, listened well and explained all the options. Very happy with the end result looks like we have a brand new door! Would highly recommend Greg.

I am very happy to recommend The Garage Door Depot in Ottawa. We had decided to build our own doors but needed help acquiring and understanding the hardware needed to hang and operate the doors. We contacted Greg at The Garage Door Depot in Ottawa and asked for his assistance. He not only gave us sound advice and put together a package of the necessary hardware parts, he offered suggestions that helped with the the door building process. He was there all the way, answering our many questions and seeing us through our project. We feel that he truly went "beyond the call of duty" . His interest, knowledge and professionalism were much appreciated.

From my initial call to the end result I was truly satisfied with this company. The person who answered my call gave me advise to check the battery and maybe save a service charge, which was appreciated. The keypad needed to be replaced so Monte came out to replace it. He was very professional, went over and above with the service for no extra charge. I would recommend this company 100%.

Was visiting the National Home Show at the Enercare Centre, saw the booth and spoke to one of the service reps.
I told her my garage doors were very noisy and running very slow. She set up an appt. to have a service tech. come out and advise me if there were any parts that needed replacing. The service tech was very knowledgeable and replaced the rollers on both garage doors.
Noticed a big difference right away, doors were much quiter and running smooth.
Would not hesitate to call them again for any garage door service.
