Our renovation started with a trip to the home renovation show. There we meet with Kevin who told us what to do getting quotes from any contractors, not just SIS. He came out soon after to start the process. Only problem was before we even got started. We didn't get enough information on windows as we needed. Kevin knows his stuff but we weren't up to speed on what was proposed.
When our quote was done to our satisfaction we proceeded. Work was started on time with the first day very busy with 10 contractors all working at once. Doors, windows and old siding removal all at once.
After that the siding crew carried on and the major work was completed in a timely fashion.
The personal on site were professional, friendly and answered all questions.
It took over 3 months to complete a interior window trim completed but it was difficult to get the best match with the existing window trim.
I would have appreciated a return visit from the salesman Kevin after completion to see how it looks now.

Yes, Kevin is extremely knowledgeable on all the different products and options available for exterior renovations and our crews are very efficient and personable. It did take time to match the interior cedar window trim with the other trim in your house. Clear cedar trim is tricky to match as each piece has different characteristics. Some pieces have a lot more grain showing and when stained become very dark, whereas other pieces stain much lighter. After several trips to the cedar shop to match the exact grain and then various trials to get the best match for the existing stain colour we were able to get it as close as possible to the rest of your house.
