English Painter

I hired the English Painter to repair my basement after having mould remediation rip out a lot of drywall and insulation. Gareth came out right away and made solid recommendations about what needed to be done, got the work started promptly, and did a very professional and polished job of repairing the basement, and then repainting. The sellers of my newly-purchased house had used a cheap coat of latex paint over an older oil-based one, and their new paint was peeling off at the slightest touch. The English Painter sanded off the old cheap coat and put two proper layers of new paint on that is much higher quality and durable.

Additional jobs I asked about were quoted reasonably and done quickly as well. All in all a very easy experience, and great that both the repair and painting could be dealt with by the same firm. I'd recommend the English Painter to anyone!

After having a hard time finding a company willing to stain a fence, we were very pleased with the work The English Painter did for us. They provided a timely quote that met our budget and we didn’t have to wait long for the work to be done. The quality of the finished work was excellent and we would definitely use them again!

We selected Gareth after engaging multiple companies in regards to painting a stained ceiling (previous water damage) with a 'popcorn' finish.

Gareth presented all options to us objectively (strip 'popcorn' ceiling vs. paint). He delivered as per the estimated schedule. When we had a question about the final product, he returned promptly and exceeded expectations by applying another coat of paint. The result was an even, consistent finish. The English Painter did an excellent job painting the exterior of our house. They completed the work in a timely manner and the staff was very friendly. Gareth was a great help in picking out paint colours and he even went beyond and helped fix the steps on our porch before painting them.
