Rats in the Basement

After our dog started sniffing around our NEWLY finished basement, we never would have dreamed wed see what we did. We found rat droppings underneath kitchen cabinets behind kick plate. Needless to say, it was unsettling. To make this story short, by some miracle we were able to find Joe. He came in and located an OPEN DRAIN pipe our amazing contractor left for us so that rats would have easy access to our home. Joe sealed it up and helped to restore our sanity. This man is the real deal. If you want the pests gone and you dont want them to return, Joe is your guy. Dont fool around with companies that just want to place bait traps and run. Find the access point and close it for good.

Company Response

Thank you for your review. I get this call about rats in the basement kitchen. This situation corresponded to some degree with the other rat job with my long response from a few reviews down the list. The difference here was the kitchen was attached to an exterior wall and the plastic plumbing stack was closed off with some mesh. There was a cabinet door covering the stack which gave me just enough room to slide into it . Inside I looked at it and turning my head to the right ever so slightly I could see the faintest outline of a half circle. I had only 3 inches to see it and half my body was squeezed into this area and yet sure enough I felt as if there was something there. In order to be certain the kick plate was removed in its entirety. I approximated the drain to be around 4 feet from where I was initially. With my body on the floor and with my left arm extended out as far as it could reach I could feel the rusty cast iron. The issue was getting to it and closing it off. I had to make an opening into the to open and then seal up the wall. Once again nothing is easy and now I know why that contractor left that drain like that. I had to really contort myself in order to access this location. First things were baited then I came back and finished the whole thing off. Happily my streak is still on.
