We had purchased an unfinished house and had many little jobs to do, we had no kitchen at all and went to Downsview Kitchen and they recommended Larry and Bev to do the pre-installation work for the new Kitchen ( electric, plumbing, removing walls etc.). We have been working with Larry and Bev for seven years now, and we couldn't be more pleased.

This was the mantra of our lead carpenter, Larry Sparks of Millcreek Construction, during the reno of our home last year.

Larry was tasked with completely replacing all trim, doors, straightening walls, leveling floors, and replacing siding on our 8100 sf Cape Cod; while each & every job was finished to standards of quality seen only in the pages of Fine Homebuilding or Architectural Digest.

Gradually my wife & I recognized a pattern to each project Larry had undertaken; he applies himself completely to all his jobs. The sense of trust Larry provides the homeowner, regardless of the scale or nature of renovation, is wonderful and amazing - especially in a climate of reno horror stories via friends and on TV.

While Millcreek's ability is well suited to one-of's & upper-bracket homes and renovations, Larry is the first and only person we would consider for any future projects. We found Millcreek and Larry Sparks completely trustworthy.

We first used MillCreek Construction in 1994 to complete a bathroom renovation and other home improvements including fixing cracked walls and crooked door frames, painting, new trim and molding, and building stairs to a third floor attic. We were so satisfied with their work that we contracted them a couple years later to help us with extensive restorations and renovations of a 1908 house in Rosedale.

We found Larry and Bev to be very experienced in both new construction and restoration, and they worked conscientiously to meet all the engineering and building codes. They are also very knowledgeable about all home building materials (both modern and heritage), which was extremely helpful when it came to selecting fixtures, tiles, granite, paint, lighting and other accessories.

Some of the work they completed for us:
• Renovated and modernized our kitchen; custom built functional islands and counters to our design specifications, added in floor heating, came up with many innovative improvements
• Designed and built new bathrooms with creative solutions to fit the existing space, extensive tile work with great attention to detail, new plumbing, electrical, etc.
• Converted the house from oil to gas heating, installed a new furnace system and air conditioning
• Built a tailor-made wood library, involving design, carpentry work and crown moldings
• Carefully stained new wood to match the old oak wood - with great results
• Underpinned the front of the house to construct a below level garage, installed a heated driveway, built a new front veranda
• Replaced the entire stucco façade of the house with new brickwork consistent with the original period of the house
• Wood stripping and painting throughout the house, with good advice on colours and stains

We have enjoyed the results of all their work and look forward to working with Larry and Bev on our next project.

a friend of ours had a couple of homes renovated by mill creek construction and highly recommended them. we hired them to renovate a master bath\bedroom.
next removing walls and redesigning the kitchen which was a design marvel,redoing all of the entire first level,installing French doors and new hardwood flooring throughout.the next year came designing and replacing 3 levels of stairway from top to lower level,giving a totally open concept (and you kept access to the 4th level master suite open and dust free for me every night ) not a small feat.
the second floor bathroom became the next project. absolutely gorgeous.
the last project we did was the lower level laundry room. with all these projects over a period of time we became like family. your work ethics are beyond reproach, bev's designing is stunning and Larry your skills in the renovation field surpass all others.

Larry and Bev of MillCreek Construction have been renovating for me since 1993. I would not do a renovation without these two professionals being in charge. In 1993 Larry and Bev renovated my newly purchased but "old" (built in 1885) home. They created an apt in the basement, put in new plumbing and electrical, new furnace, and did renewals - added closets, laundry room, painted throughout. In 1999 they designed and installed a bautiful functional new kitchen. (In between times they did the roof.) I sold the house in 2008 and Larry made it ready to sell. In 2008 and 2010 he and Bev have outfitted two brand new condos for me - fixtures, closets, painting, shelves, kitchen additions - Again, I completely trust Larry and Bev to do any renovation to the highest standard - everything they have done has been done without a "call back" and exactly has I had hoped. (I have never even had to repaint, Larry's wall preparation and painting ensured it lasted (over 15 years!).) Larry is a skilled and extremely conscientious craftsman, his time estimates for a job are about right - everything was started on time and completed within a week of promised time - but most importantly the jobs were done right, with great design, and top materials. I enthusiastically recommend MillCreek Construction to you for any renovation.

Our home is a Queen Anne revival cottage, circa 1892 and we had to rebuild the front wrap around veranda. The house has a tremendous amount of gingerbread design and required a master craftsman's skill in duplicating all these features.
MillCreek Construction had come highly recommended to us to do this restoration project. We are absolutely thrilled with the results.
Your workmanship, professionalism, and patience was outstanding and we are so happy we waited to have you come to London and do this work. The skill and expertise in the way you duplicated all the support posts, spindles, railings and gingerbread detail on this heritage home was exceptional and all made by hand on site. It was amazing!

Larry & Bev did our kitchen 6 yrs ago and our powder room and back hall 6 months ago. The quality of their work is outstanding.
