Our dryer vents to the outside from the second floor laundry room. The relatively tight holes on the old grate (that prevents birds from flying in) constantly resulted in lint building up. I had to frequently remove the foil hose from the dryer venting that led outside and this resulted in a poor connection and led to lint blowing around the laundry room whenever the dryer was running.
I called Samson from Appliance Healer and described the problem. He estimated $100 for the labour (flat rate) plus parts. Samson came, removed the old grate from outside and all the venting inside and replaced it with better quality parts and a grate that won't fill with lint. He also replaced the flimsy foil hose with an aluminum hose.
Samson came with his wife, who "accompanies him on all jobs" and went right to work. He clearly knew what needed to be done and had arrived with all the needed parts and tools. He was friendly, honest, and explained everything he was doing.
His invoice was for the exact amount quoted and he even presented the reciept for the parts (not that I asked).
