Galaxy Moving & Mobile Storage

Made a reservation pretty last minute; was given an incredibly fair quote for loading my truck and the movers were really accommodating to my schedule.

The movers who came to move me were on time (like, to the second), careful with my things, incredibly friendly and personable, and finished UNDER the time they quoted me (which was reflected in the final bill).

I can't say enough great things about these guys. after having been burned by movers again and again, I finally found a great company (if only they had a location in Winnipeg)

We hired galaxy to pick up a new trampoline for the kids for Christmas. The store wasn't able to deliver in timeLuckily for us they have a mover they recommended (galaxy). They were able to do it the same day and the only problem we have now is hiding it till Christmas. Thanks Galaxy

This was a huge move. The guys showed up bright and early as scheduled. (07:00) This was a little to early for me but we had a lot of work to do if we were going to get it all done in one day. They sent 2 trucks and 6 men, this did not seem like enough for the furniture that needed moving. Around lunch time i was a little concerned but they assured me loading takes longer then unloading as they have to blanket wrap all the furniture. The unload was up a steep driveway and a bunch of stairs but that was no problem. They worked like machines and we were all done by 8 that evening. I do not easily impress but I was this day. I've moved so many times, I can't even begin to count.  Every time, I force some reluctant friends to help me lug my junk around.  It takes me several days to move all of my crap in a combination of my car, my friends' cars, and rented UHaul trucks.??This year, I decided, would be different.  I'm never at home, as I travel quite a bit for work.  Spending my only free time lugging crap through the busy streets of Vancouver did not seem appealing.  If you've ever tried to drive a truck through Down Town you know what I'm talking about.??I found Galaxy through the excellent reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a go.  I booked an afternoon appointment on a Saturday and started boxing up my stuff.  ??Galaxy gave me a call about 40 minutes before they were going to arrive and showed up in the afternoon. They took the passenger elevator and commandeered the cargo elevator, even though the desk staff was a bit unhappy.  I, however, was quite happy.  The last thing I wanted to do was stand around waiting for people to finish when I'm paying an hourly rate.  Amazingly, the three guys emptied my entire 8th floor studio apartment in about 20 minutes.  I know, I know, I can't believe it either.??After emptying my apartment, they drove the gigantic Galaxy truck (which could've fit my entire apartment 5 times over) down to Granville Island.  Unfortunately, my new place was a 2nd floor walk-up.  That didn't stop Galaxy.  Multiple boxes which I could barely lift off of the ground were moved effortlessly.  One guy even managed to strap my kegerator with CO2 bottle onto his back and bring it up the stairs.  Amazing.  One piece of furniture had to be disassembled, which was done in minutes.??All in all, they finished in about 2 hrs.  I happily forked over the money, with a generous tip.  They have a 2 hour minimum, but the rate is more than reasonable and they pro-rate anything above 2 hours.??If, no when, I move again, I will be giving Galaxy a call.  Keep up the good work!

Moving from Calgary to Vancouver was a stressful experience, thankfully I hired Galaxy. They picked my stuff up friday morning and i was sitting on my new couch monday evening. Its nice that my move went well because everything else was a pain. Thank you Darryl and Shane

Galaxy Piano Movers was hired for the piano I recently bought. It was moved in about an hour on time and met my budget. The movers put in on a special piano lift and brought it up my rear porch with very little effort. It was pretty amazing.

We required a rush delivery before Christmas for some furniture from the Brick. They accommodated us that same day The crew wore booties and placed the furniture exactly where I wanted it. Thanks
