My bathtub area was getting moldy and the walls were getting soft so I called EA Renovations (among others) for an estimate to replace the area. The price was quite reasonable compared to the other estimates. Mark discussed different options and kept in contact throughout the process. The final price was not much more than the estimate and the final look was quite nice. I was very happy with the work. If I had to choose one thing that could be improved upon is that it took a little bit longer than anticipated and I would've preferred the key to have been kept in a lock box although my understanding is there wasn't a good place for one. Just the paranoia in me I guess.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark from EA Renovations through our plumber who highly recommended them. I have worked with Mark on two home renovation projects, one was a basement renovation in a townhouse and last year the upper and lower floors of a house. I had a very positive experience with Mark on my first renovation, which was why I chose EA Renovation again for my second project. Mark was always receptive to listening to all my ideas and then provided suggestions where there were issues that had to be solved. I have always appreciated how willing he is to listen to my ideas, provide suggestions that will provide a better result while keeping my budget in mind. I am also impressed by how quickly Mark responds to my concerns during the renovations. He does not wait to address the problems, but have the trades remedy the issues very quickly. I have no reservations recommending Mark and EA Renovations to friends and family since I know he will get the job done. Great job Mark, cannot wait to work on the next project with you again! :)

Mark impressed us at our very first meeting. He was easy to talk to, had lots of suggestions and was not daunted by our tight timeline. I asked Mark for references and called everyone on the list who had a similar large project like ours. We had kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom, living room, floors and more done. Every client of EA Renovations to whom I spoke had only good things to say about Mark and his team.

Timeline: We are thrilled with how quickly Mark got his team into the house as soon as we wanted them to start. He stuck to his timeline and work quality was great.

Budget: Mark stuck to the budget. We appreciate the purchasing advice he provided throughout the project.

The team: Alex worked on our home daily and stayed through to completion. He is easy to talk to and had lots of suggestions which we incorporated. Alex worked hard on our home with great attention to detail. In many ways we felt he went above and beyond our expectations. Michelle was a hard worker and did great work. Rob did a fantastic job on all our tile work. Scott did a beautiful job on the fireplace and more. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, knowledgable and hard-working.

How did it all hold up? Now, almost a year after work was completed we can say we are not disapointed. We are grateful for the lighting suggestions that Mark had on that very first day. All through the gloomy Vancouver winter we have thought about how happy we are that our place is so bright. Overall we are just so happy with our home.

We have recommended Mark and his team to friends and will continue to do so without reservation!

We found Mark through my sil, who found him on Homestars, and we are both very happy that we used EA Renovations for our renos! Mark first did our powder room and we recently did our bathroom and he is a pleasure to work with, as are his contractors. He gives advice where necessary but listens to the homeowner and their vision. We plan our doing our en-suite in the near future, and Mark is ready to take us on again, and we're looking forward to that journey.

We did a complete (right down to the studs) renovation of a 45 year old house, Although we did most of the demo ourselves, EA Renovations did the rest of the reno, and they were fantastic. Mark, the GC on our project, was exceptional - a very kind, easy-going and level-headed man with incredibly good design ideas and a firm grasp on the practical aspects of getting the job done right. We interviewed 6 contractors before selecting EA Renovations, and we have no regrets whatsoever. He was honest and trustworthy, and the quality of his crew's workmanship was superb. We also found that the tradespeople Mark brought in for the job were of the same level of integrity, and all kind people who worked very hard and took great pride in their work. Mark was also extremely responsive to even the smallest of our concerns, and addressed them immediately. The project was completed in 6 months, as promised up front. We are so happy with the end result - we just love our new home and we have Mark and his skilled crew of tradespeople to thank. Our only complaint would be that the project was substantially over budget. Some of that was our fault because of extra features we added along the way, but a large part stemmed from Mark's low initial estimate. We went cost plus on this job, but if we were to do it again we would go fixed price instead to avoid this situation. In the end, we were very happy with the finished product, and we don't mind paying extra for quality workmanship. We would indeed recommend Mark and his crew to anyone doing a home reno of any kind.

Mark and the crew began adding a second storey to my house in May 2014. My house was almost completely gutted with the exception of a first floor bathroom and the basement. The entire job was completed prior to thanks giving as promised. He kept within a very tight budget. He gave advice when asked and money was spent wisely . The crew would arrive early in the morning and when they left at the end of the day they would consistently tidy up after themselves, leaving the worksite in an orderly fashion. I mean literally spotless, I could enter the worksite at anytime without worry to my safety. Mark and crew posses outstanding workmanship. Mark attention to detail was amazing. There are no sloppy hidden corners anywhere. What was behind the walls was just as good as the outside, this was no cosmetic work, I ensured the crew took great care with all the finishing work. He was very approachable, relaxed and cheerful. Always responding to my emails and always called me back ,He always addressed all my questions and concerns,He treated his team with respect a - he made a point of having proper breaks so that they were working to the best of their ability. They weren't having breaks here and there and eating or drinking while working. In respect as this company works on a cost plus basis,Mark knows his trade without a doubt. This company takes pride in their work which turned out incredibly beautiful . experience was an asset in choosing appropriate finishes. Mark & Nino quickly addressed the damage from a sewer back up in laundry room and updated the whole space to exactly what we needed to get our home on the market quickly. Excellent work, conscious of cost constraints and timely completion - as always!

We were lucky enough to find EA Renovations on Homestars.com after a couple of false starts with companies who either didn't respond promptly or gave extremely high quotes. We found Mark to be honest, reliable, and exacting in both his billing, and the time frames we were given for the project to be completed. A new bathroom was added to our home, two other bathrooms were gutted and renovated, and our kitchen lighting was improved, and the ceiling was restipled in an open plan home- Not an easy thing to do. The crew- Scott, Nino and George were hardworking, reliable and punctual. They did a really great job for us. We are extremely happy with the results and recommend highly. Thanks guys!

Found Mark on Homestars.com and was thoroughly impressed by the turnaround time on coming over to provide a quote. He was there before other companies even responded to my request. Mark was very flexible as our needs changed. Originally we thought there may be more work available but the job became slightly smaller and he was more than okay with that.
Mark's crew renovated an already gutted bathroom in our apartment. I was impressed by the final work accomplished. In construction I always anticipate something is going to go array and in this case we have to jackhammer out cement in the bathroom for the toilet and bathtub. The crew did a great job and made all of our pre-bought products fit the room. I have no complaints about the quality of their work and would recommend them to others in need of contractors.
