We had blinds installed on the balcony door about two years ago. Our primary motivation was comfort: there was cold draft coming from the door and we effectively could not use large area of the room because of it. The blinds made a huge difference: no cold drafts anymore. They also block the heat from the sun during the summer.
The service was very good: they spent a lot of time to make sure the blinds align will with the ceiling and the floor (not easy when the ceiling and the floor are not parallel). They also promptly replaced the valance when my wife decided after a couple of weeks she did not like the original one.
