Dadras Architects took over the architectural design of our project after issues with a previous architect. Mehrzad was knowledgeable and quick to respond. He found solutions to complex issues is a very challenging project. I would recommend him for architectural design ranging from straight forward to complicated projects.

We would like to thank Green Hill for their strong support provided here. We are particularly grateful for the recognition of the real challenges with this project and the phrase “complex issues”. To make that phrase more precise we mentioned many times during the design and construction phases that this land was too small for the proposed building. It may seem impossible or rather funny but that was true and to everybody’s astonishment we completed the design and construction of that project successfully. This project had many unique aspects to it. To start with, the city of Oakville did not have that much experience with condominium design so we had to help them with the Ontario Building Code to review our own project. The other aspect of this project was that we did not use steel structure but structural studs which is very new in Canada. We created a detail shop drawing to coordinate the engineering panelling design with the site. That added many hours of project coordination in the office and on the site. I remember for the concrete ramp we couldn’t find large companies to pour the concrete ramp because of its complexities. So we took the challenge to draw a 3-dimensional shop drawing for it and go on site and collaborate with a small company to mark it, form it, and pour the concert for the ramp. I must say for this project, we were quite pumped up since it gave us many opportunities to pad ourselves in the back that we were able to test our creativity and say we did it again.
