I hired AWE roofing to put a new roof on my house and shed. AWE roofing did an appalling roofing job.
The employees hired to do my roof were atrocious. I do not think any of them had any previous experience in roofing. My contract with AWE, states that AWE will leave a work site free of nails and debris. That AWE will go over the work site with a magnet to retrieve all nails. However, I handpicked at least 20 nails in my driveway, a few more nails on my deck and nails in my garden. The agreement also states that my evestroughs will be cleared of any shingle/nail debris. My evestrough were not cleared of shingle debris or nails. I know, because after my roof was done, I had new evestrough installed on my house. When the old evestrough were removed from my house, I saw the rubbish AWE employees left behind in my evestrough. To add insult to the entire matter, the roofers butted out their cigarettes on my new shingles.
In addition, the shed roof leaked. I called twice to get someone from AWE roofing to come out and repair the leaky shed roof and nothing, no one came to fix the roof, and no one called. After two weeks of being disregarded I emailed AWE my to remind them I needed my roof repaired. A couple days later AWE called explaining that they had fired a number of their roofing crew, and that they were short staffed.
By chance, I was home when, about five days’ later three men and a woman from AWE arrived to repair the leaky shed roof. They admitted that a few people from AWE had been fired for doing inferior work and that AWE received many customer complaints. They fixed my roof, but even with me relating how disappointed I was with the previous roofing crew, these guys still had the audacity to butt cigarettes out on my new shingles.
My roof cost $3,457.80 - it's not an ash tray...so disrespectful!!!
I would never recommend or endorse AWE roofing to anybody. Unprofessional, inadequate customer service. Inferior, inexperienced, slapdash employees.
I am incredibly disappointed.
