Lorand has completed multiple renovations for us over the last 10 years - kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and a spectacular stone patio and pergola as well as fence. He is a seasoned veteran and extremely knowledgable about all facets of construction. His work is always of the highest quality and I appreciate that he stays in communication about how things are going, schedules, etc. Highly recommended!

Lorand renovated my previous house (kitchen and one bathroom) and my current house (kitchen, two bathrooms, patio deck, painting, mud room and walking closet). His work was excellent in both houses. He pays close attention to detail to the point that he is a perfectionist. He has a very good attitude and is very flexible with time and budgets.

I was extremely pleased with the reno work Lorand provided. He pays close attention to detail and is concerned about customer satisfaction. He worked on a number of different things for me including tile, painting and carpet install. I had no issues with his work or price. I have recommended him to various friends and they too were very pleased. Try him out, you'll be glad you did.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE WORKMANSHIP. BLOTCHY PAINTING, BATHROOM CABINET HITS TOILET, EVEN AFTER MOVING IT ONCE ALREADY, AND MOVING IT AGAIN. NAILS SHOWING IN CASING. CUTS HOLE IN CASING FOR LIGHT SWITCH, NEVER PAINTED RAW WOOD SHOWS. CASED IN VAC FLOW, WHICH IS NOW USELESS IN BASEMENT AS IT WAS BUILD SO CLOSE TO WALL CAN NOT EVEN GET HOSE IN. NOT SURE IF I WILL BE EVEN ABLE TO EMPTY BIN. CAN NOT USE DRAIN IN SINK AS IT HITS MIRROR ABOVE SINK,MAYBE SHD OF PUT MIRROR UP ANOTHER 3 INCHES. THESE ARE JUST COSMETIC ISSUES I AM AFRAID TO THINK OF THE WORKMANSHIP WE DONT SEE. THIS BATHROOM WAS ROUGHED IN, AND I PAID FOR MATERIALS AND HE IS BILLING ME 7881.00 AND I HAVE PAID 6000.00 ALREADY.

I was extremely disappointed to see this bad review of me , being posted in Dec, 2010. Unfortunately this was posted almost 2 years after the job was done and never once heard of any complaints from BJ, because there weren't any valid ones! Job was done right!
She couldn't pay me, left me a message in the middle of the night: she asked me to agree to a monthly $500 installment plan, but after a couple months she disappeared with about half of the Invoice unpaid !!!
She posted this negative review after I took her to court and she hired a lawyer (which took another 3 years!)
I WOULD NEVER BASH A CLIENT, but this one was really below my belt.
Every single item she blames me for is untrue, or she asked me to do it that particular way, for example her son was in charge of painting baseboards and trim! She didn't want to pay $50 for having the existing switch moved, so I didn't have to cut into trim.
Bathroom plumbing wasn't roughed in, I was mislead, when I went to give the estimate, couldn't even get into room, it was piled with furniture up to the ceiling! Had to cut up concrete to do the work, huge job!
Anyhow, I don't want to write more about this, because it makes me sick to my stomach, that people like this exist and they even get away with it .
PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS - I would be happy to share the many references who have been very pleased with my work in the past over 10 years in Calgary. I'm very proud of my workman-ship, ethics and attention to detail.
Just ask- I would like the opportunity to prove my well-honed skills on your renovation.
Also if you have questions about this bad experience in my business life, that consumed the better of 5 years... I'd be able to answer any of them: before & after pictures, documentation, court order, all proving my side of the story!

lorands company did a fantastic job on our renovations, everything turned out better than expected. We recommend him for any reno job. pricing was very reasonable and he was willing to deal with our last minute changes.
