I had Andrew come and inspect a home we bought that was 3 structures from 3 different eras connected together... it was a pretty complicated endeavour. Andrew spent the entire day there with his assistant going over the place with a fine-tooth comb while educating me about what he was looking for. Besides having a pretty good time walking around with him, learning about the house we just bought, he discovered that there was water damage inside the flat roof and as a result, using his report, we were able to negotiate the cost of replacing the entire roof to come off of the purchase price. It goes without saying that we're pretty happy!

We contacted Andrew regarding a new home inspection and are definitely very glad we did. He was able to point out a large number of items which we would not have noticed on our own that are covered under the new build Tarion Warranty. He was very thorough and meticulous in his inspection. I felt he went above and beyond a typical inspection, pointing out issues that we never would have seen or known moving forward.

I would highly suggest any other new build purchasers to do the same. Or anyone requiring any inspection that Andrew completes for that matter. It is well worth fee.

A little more costly than the competition, but when you see how Andy operates, you realize why -- he spent 4.5 hours meticulously checking all aspects of the house (e.g. roof, attic, rafters in basement, insulation, etc). He doesn't just go through a checklist, he attacks the problem from a priority standpoint -- looking at the foundation, exterior, basement, electricals, lights, even checking the appliances and serial numbers. He brought another person with him too, which is why I feel the cost is worth it. He did flag to us early on that he may not be able to physically get on the roof due to the taller construction of the house. This was indeed the case on the day of the inspection - even with a 20 foot ladder it was tough. However he did offer to check it with a drone (extra cost), which we politely declined. Instead he thoroughly inspected the roof with binoculars and from different vantage points in the backyard, across the street, etc. which we appreciated. More than anything, Andy saved us a bundle and also gave us the confidence to walk away from a bad deal -- which led the sellers to eventually do what we had asked them to do (replace an appliance and fix bad ELFs). Overall a very satisfied customer!
