Specialty Paint Finishes-No Longer in Business

Lorna Weston-Smyth rescued my kitchen from a 1980s time warp and brought it into the year 2012. Lorna removed floor-to-ceiling wallpaper and painted everything: ceiling, trim, cabinets, walls and countertop! I had not even heard of countertop painting but Lorna gave it a beautiful faux granite treatment and the whole job really gave me the feeling of a brand new kitchen. The cabinet painting is so perfect, they look like they came out of the factory that way. Lorna helped me choose colours, steered me away from the wrong colour choices (which I appreciate) and advised on the best cabinet hardware choice for my project. From the beginning, she was a joy to work with, organized and professional. Her work area was always left neat and clean. Lorna always followed through on everything she said she was going to do and really pays attention to detail. The kitchen turned out better than I thought possible. Now I'm looking forward to having Lorna do a "distressed" treatment on my kitchen hutch soon! Thank you Lorna for such a beautiful job.

I have employed Lorna Weston-Smyth, a Painter and Decorative Artist, on three separate occasions. Lorna was highly recommended by a home staging consultant. In 2007, in preparation for putting my house on the market, she removed wallpaper, repaired walls and painted eight rooms. She provided a portfolio of designer paint samples and assisted me in picking appropriate colours for each room. Over a period of approximately three weeks, Lorna worked diligently to complete the work that I requested. I was most impressed with her attention to detail. Everything was completed to perfection.

After the sale of my house I purchased a condo that needed considerable updating. Again I called on Lorna’s expertise. In addition to painting, Lorna provided me with many ideas concerning other aspects of decorating, such as, window coverings, appropriate wall hangings and where to find some of the items that I was looking to purchase.

In 2010 I made some additional changes in the condo and once again hired Lorna to do the job.

I found Lorna to be a very competent and completely reliable woman. She is a very friendly and energetic person who I will certainly ask to help me with any redecorating.

Lorna had many repairs to make on the walls in these areas as well as cover panelling in one room. Thanks to Lorna's attention to detail and supreme workmanship you cannot see the damage to the walls nor the fact there was any panelling in the room. It is hard to describe the transformation in words but she turned two dismal/dingy rooms to rooms that are warm and inviting. Lorna is not only a professional but a wonderful person that you will be pleased to have in your home.
