Our first project on the renovations list was to get an open concept kitchen by removing the (load bearing) wall between kitchen and family room. We received several quotes, we even had some contractors telling us the opening was too wide (16 ft) and they couldn't do it without installing a vertical support. However, we contacted Bert and he was very confident to do everything as we wanted, and with the best price. He installed a very sturdy beam, as well as a steel beam in the basement for extra support and peace of mind. He was punctual, came twice to our house from the other part of the city to discuss, and also stopped by when he was in the area a few months after just to see how we were doing! We will definitely recommend Cando to anyone interested. Thank you!

Words can not convey the confidence and gratitude I have for Bert and his Cando Renovations team. Bert clearly displayed from moment one his knowledge on how to support the weight from above while ensuring the support below accommodates the same. Bert was the only one to realize our plan called for addition supports on the floor possibly saving my family from serious injury or worse had I gone another route. Bert and his team recently completed a significant renovation for us that included removal of load bearing walls and new flooring throughout our main floor. We were really impressed and happy with our experience with Bert. His quote was reasonable and came with great advice on how to save some of our budget, he was open and honest about what to expect, and he kept his word on timelines as well as budget. Bert was always available, very responsive to question or concerns, and to provide advice on the process. He made the renovation as easy as it could have been.

Bert was amazing to work with. Polite, Professional, efficient and respectful. He came in on time. Got the work done right. We are very pleased with the outcome of the job. His quote was reasonable and far better than rates I received else where. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. My only regret is that I didn't hire this man as my main contractor. He actually went above and beyond by cleaning up after my other contractors at no extra charge.

Replaced low bearing wall, build new closet, put in new front door, what a great job at a great price. I highly recommend him to anybody, very efficient
