Our experience with Rocket was not the least bit pleasant. We saw them at the Calgary Home Show and after reviewing their website and giving them a call we hired them to do our basement bathroom. After the demo was completed, things started going haywire. There was no proper project management services on our job throughout, and the sub-contractors who showed up did not have a grasp of what was going on and in most cases did not have the skills for that job. The plumber did not review the equipment he was installing and was short when told to read the installation manuals, eventually we had to have a professional plumber come in and repair the work prior to walls going up. After 6 weeks of an incomplete shower room, the final straw was the incompetence of the tiling company. My wife and I were under extreme stress over Rocket and demanded that the tiling be done properly. Rocket then called us and informed us that they were pulling out of the job. This left us with an incomplete bathroom and very serious questions remaining. We called in some professionals in tiling and contracting and discovered further problems of the work done by Rocket Renovations. The most serious being that Rocket when we asked if they would pull city permits for the electrical & plumbing, told us it was not required for this type of job. On the contrary and we even consulted the City of Calgary to confirm, you indeed need permits for the work we were having done. Needless to say we need to have the shower room re-done to proper spec's and inspections done so that we will have re-course with house insurance if ever there was a fire or flood. Rocket Renovations lack of project management and quality trades is big red flag. Buyer beware on this company.

In 6 years of service, we have never worked for a client as difficult as your wife. Our trades were repeatedly abused and harassed each time anyone set foot on the premisis. We always do due diligance in obtaining the proper permits and inspections for all jobs we do. If I were a Rocket customer reading this, I would take it with a grain of salt. Also, since liens and lawsuits have been filed against your property, please don't continue this in a public forum. I think we should leave it up to the lawyers to come to an agreement. In the meantime, I wouldn't rip anything out of your bathroom if I were you. Since all work we were able to complete was done to city code and with the utmost quality, it would be a waste of your money to have it done all over again.
