I had compared a few companies and thoroughly investigated all options before giving Lisa the job to replace some of our windows. The company was courteous, helpful, and completed the job efficiently and to our satisfaction.

However this winter I noticed a noticeable savings in our gas bill of around 30% less gas used then the previous year which can be directly attributed to the windows.

In my opinion Lisa provided me with the best quality to price value I could get for my budget. I look forward to completing the rest of my house with windows from PL Skylights.

****UPDATE**** since the windows were installed we had a minor issue with one of the windows in the spring. Lisa was right on the ball taking care of us and sending an installer out to inspect and repair the problem.

However recently we experience another minor problem and within 48 hours without any excuses, delays or stalling in any way Lisa once again stepped up and had another installer out to inspect and do the minor repair.

I am truly and honestly very impressed with their after sales service. Any job can have a few little things go wrong but what makes a company creditable and reliable is simply how they take care of you after they have been paid.

I highly, highly recommend this company simply based on their no excuse or delay after sales service.

We were very happy with the work from Richard and Eli. I interviewed several companies and ultimately choose to go with PL based on my discussion with Richard when he came to do the quotation. He delivered everything he said he would and the skylight over our stairs have made the stairs the favorite section of our home.

Following is our experience:
We posted on HomeStars requesting for quotes on installation a large top of roof skylight to illuminate the entire foyer.
PL Skylight was quick to respond and request an on-sight visit to assess the project and provide an accurate quote. Due to their very busy schedule during the week, Lisa and her lead installer came out on a Sunday. Lisa brought a sample of the skylight and explained their approach, which is also posted on their website. Richard went onto the rafters and assessed what was required. We asked for references and the response was immediate with a number of locations for us to visit. On Monday we received their quote including a location where they were installing 4 Skylights in one house which would give us various options for our application.
We were impressed with:
1. Their quick response to my HomeStars posting
2. Their quick response to coming out for a site visit on a Sunday
3. Quote with references by Monday
4. We checked out the reference with 4 Skylight installations on Wednesday
a. The visit provided us with a visual and look/see at their craftsmanship and quality. We were convinced that PL and their team of Richard and Eli would be the right choice.
5. PL encouraged us to get other quotes to ensure that we would make the right choice.
a. We did pursue other quotes from other companies. This took up to 2 weeks and their recommendation/price was not in line with our expectation.
6. Lisa was open and flexible in working with us to ensure that we achieved a ‘win – win’ outcome.
We gave PL the OK to proceed, within the next week, PL crew of Richard and Eli showed up, they told us that they would be finished in 8 days.
First up was an assessment of our project. The original design and recommendation for 2 skylights would not provide a symmetrical tunnel. Richard asked what was our priority, we discussed it and on the ‘fly’ Richard drew up couple of options to achieve our goal and ensure that we would be happy with the end result.
Richard and Eli worked tirelessly as a team. Very conscientious in keeping our home tidy and warm as they proceeded through the various stages of building the 17’ tunnel. They kept us informed of their process every step of the way. We were impressed with their professionalism, quality, speed of project. They finished on time and on budget. We are thrilled with this installation. The 42 X 42 curb mounted tempered low e glass skylight has added depth and significant natural light into our foyer creating a huge ‘Wow factor’. We are a truly delighted client.

We knew nobody when we planned to replace our 15 windows and a patio door. We started calling around. PL Skylights was the only company whom told me they would take a home visit and give a free estimation next day, right on my first call. We were satisfactory with Lisa' quote which was very reasonable price and nice time frame. The most high light of PL Skylight is that they have very professional installer, Mr. Kevin Xu, who has Master level skills in this industry field! Excellent job! If you want to replace your windows or patio doors, do not shop around, PL Skylights is your best choice!

My wife and I had PL replace a badly leaking skylight in the home we moved into. We checked with various companies reviewed on Homestars and found their price to be the best. For the price of a vinyl skylight, we were able to get Low E Argon glass and they installed it along with blueskin and new flashings very nicely. We were pleased by their Service, their boss Lisa actually came out to our home to ensure the work was being done to our satisfaction and their Installer - Eli was meticulous in his workmanship. They even came back afterwards to repair some old shingles near the skylight which had blown off during the windstorm we had without charge. I highly recommend this company for Skylight work, there's no need to pay one of the other companies mentioned on Homestars more money for the same result.

Purchased windows and patio door and was very pleased with the quality and price of products. The staff was very helpful in choosing style and advising me of all the additional information required.The installation was great as the crew was very prompt friendly and very professional. Extra marks for finishing job in 1 day with minus temp. and snow. Windows look great...

We had a leak in our roof in August this year and contacted PL Skylights to have the roof repaired. One of their staff came over and inspected the roof and said it needs caulking and guaranteed there would be no further leaks. Now in October, we had a leak again and contacted PL Skylight. They said they can not come and look at and we should call a roofer because they only do skylight. When we asked why they told us they do roof repair and roofing related works, they said it was a misunderstanding and can not help us.

My husband and I searched for companies that specialized in skylight work as ours was very old and leaking. This company was the only one that answered the phone on a holiday weekend. We did have a few other companies quote us, but they had a respectable price and could do the work in the most reasonable time frame. Eli came to give us a quote within a few day and the work was completed as scheduled. Eli also came to do most of the work and he did a meticulously good job, taking the extra time to ensure our skylight was installed correctly. We were very pleased at the result and would recommend this company. Lisa's (the owner) English is a bit weak but if you ask her to slow down she is much easier to understand. We were glad we were patient. As with any contractor, it is good to agree upon a deadline date that the work has to be done. They completed the job on time, within spec and very reasonable. My skylight leak every time it rains. I was very upset. Then I contacted PL Skylights Ltd. It was Lisa who picked up the phone. She seemed very nice and came to my place the next day to check on the skylight. I was very satisfied. So I ordered a new skylight and asked them to install for me. She respond very quickly. Only a few days after, Lisa and other 2 person came to my place to install the new skylight. They did it very professionally. I'm very happy with my new skylight now. If you want to install skylight, I would highly recommend PL Skylights.
