Solarium Repairs

Andy and Hayden was very professional and friendly. They replaced the glass for my solarium in 4 days. When it was raining, they used a tarp to cover to make sure rain doesn't get inside.

Andy was very responsive when I called for help to repair a leak in my sunroom roof. He delivered on expectations and most of all he had a very cheerful and generous attitude. I recommend him highly.

I thought that I would have to tear down my solarium and rebuild but Andy came in 2012 and revamp the whole thing. I had had another company replaced some of the fogged glass years earlier and it had leaked ever since. If I was out shopping and it rained I would rush home to find the window sills and oak floor covered in water. The night after Andy finished the work we had a thunderous downpour and I never once thought to get our of bed and check. In the morning - sure enough, everything was bone dry. He showed such professionalism and attention to detail I instinctively knew the job was done right and all these years later I still have never had any water problems.
More recently the property next door was sold and the large tree shading my solarium was cut down. I again called Andy - wouldn't think of calling anyone else. He replaced the roof glass with Heat Mirror 22, so now I no longer feel like a bug under a magnifying glass.
Andy as an independent, never rushes any job because he's been "booked" into another job by some large company's schedule. He takes the time needed to do the job right from start to finish. All work is done to code, unlike the first company who replaced my fogged ceiling with glass so thin it could have been used for picture frames, one small branch hitting could have been disastrous (I had no idea until Andy showed me what was up there).
Glad to see his son has joined the business, he's learning from the best!

We have been dealing with Andy for about 5 years as he has been maintaining our 25 year old solarium. Last year we decided to replace all of the glass since the seals in many of the panels had gone. Andy and his son did a great job and they worked very well as a team. Andy recommended that we use "Heat Mirror 22" glass for the roof area..... it was more expensive but we decided to go with his recommendation and are very pleased with the outcome. Our solarium is exposed to the afternoon sun and previously we would not even think of using it in the summer until the sun went down. This summer we have used it on some of the hottest days and it has been very comfortable......too humid to sit outside but the solarium with the ceiling fan going has been great. I attribute this to the Heat Mirror glass. Also we found last winter that we could still use the solarium on a sunny afternoon and it was very comfortable.

Andy fixed my solarium 1.5 years ago, the fix he made still holds. He has solid knowledge, responsible and pleasant to work with. I would recommand him to anyone who may have any tricky problem, Andy would give you his honest opinion.

Andy is a true Home Star!! After being burnt on numerous 'fixes' on our 25 year old cedar solarium, we were apprehensive in choosing who would replace our 16 windows. Andy met with us and was the first to come up with a creative solution for the 4 triangle windows at the top - frosted glass - WOW!, do they look fabulous.

In our experience, Andy was the perfect man for the job. My wife and I found him to be a very honest man who took a great deal of pride in his work. Our sunroom needed many repairs. Due to his many years of experience and skill, Andy was able to expertly repair window frames and install many new windows, repair interior walls, and replace the sunroom's outer aluminum siding. I have a solarium that was added to my home about 18 years ago. For the past several years we have had leaks. Each time, the leaks were covered with caulking. That never fixed the problem. Finally I discovered Andy Lansdown and his company Solarium Repairs. Andy came to assess the situation, gave me an estimate for the repairs, explained them fully to me, and began the work. From the moment I met him, I felt at ease. Andy is warm and friendly, but especially knowledgable and instills confidence from the start. He is professional in his work. He also wanted to make sure that everything was repaired and came back more than once just to make sure. As it turns out, the work was delayed because of the ice and snow all this past winter, but Andy continued to keep in touch and was here as soon as the roof was dry.
I also want to mention that there were other problems here, with water damage caused by improper insulation under my windows (nothing to do with the solarium). Andy was helpful and supportive, introduced me to James Keegan (of GreenEdge Insulation) who did the insulation for me. Throughout all of this, Andy was kind and helpful. He did much more than what was expected, and much more than what was paid for. None of the extra visits and none of the advice added to the initial cost estimate, for those of you wondering about that. I am listening to the gentle sound of rain falling on my solarium, a sound I have always enjoyed but had come to dread this summer. I have Andy Landsdown of Solarium Repairs to thank. We had damage to one of our panels of our sunroom. The original installer has gone out of business. We contacted Andy, who was very helpful with his advice and expertize.
