2 Guys Painting does a lot of postering downtown. I called them and a couple of other companies for a quote. These guys were the most expensive (compared to the student painters), but the salesman/owner seemed to really enjoy his job, be very proud of his work, and seemed to be very knowledgeable (although a little too talkative - it was hard to get him out of the house). Plus, there was a good review on Homestars for 2 Guys Painting - so we hired them.
The salesman said he bought the "2 Guys Painting" company, which would explain why Homestar's listing shows a different phone number than this guy's. The 2 Guys Painting we used is the one with all the posters downtown. Their number is 416-382-2734 and they're a Toronto company, not a Markham one. (I've since learned that the Markham one (with the 10 star rating on tis site) is still in business, but is a completely different company than the one we hired).
One thing about them, they're fast and they show up to paint when they say they will.
But, they drink a lot on the job. I don't mind if they have a beer or two on a hot day if they have to, but I came home one day to find these guys actually drunk. Each day they left us with various empties. They didn't use drop sheets - but they should have. They didn't do the prep work we expected (based on assurances made when we hired them). We had to demand that work be redone because the quality just wasn't there.
Overall, the results don't justify the price.
