October 2021 Update:
The majority of the polymeric sand has washed away! The whole project needs to be redone thanks to the shoddy workmanship of John and his staff. Save yourself the frustration and go with a reputable company!!
Sept 01, 2021 UPDATE:
After much back and forth including threats from the owner stating "Remove the review immediately. And write a new review" they finally came back and replaced the sand.
So yes, they fixed the issues but, I should not have had to fight so hard just to get what I paid for.
Aug 24, 2021 UPDATE:
The owner John got back to me stating the remedial work will now take place sometime within the next 4-8 weeks. We have lost a summer of relaxing enjoyment of our backyard due to sand everywhere and weeds growing between the stones and it just looks terrible.

I hired Master Sealer a couple of years ago and they did an OK job. They had to return to fix a couple of areas but in the end it was fine. This year completely different! Two days after the work was done it rained and my daughter slipped on the front steps and sustained some severe injuries which caused her to miss several days of work. I inspected the steps and they were like a sheet of ice with very little to no traction compound. Although John did send someone by to add more sealer and traction compound but, he also tried to place the blame on my daughter not on his poor workmanship. He was supposed to let us know when someone was coming by but he didn't. 3 people and our dog were home and no one heard a doorbell or knock and my dog hears EVERYTHING and is quick to alert us! John has been argumentative and incredibly difficult to deal with. Within a couple days of this incident we noted that polymeric sand was being tracked through our house and was loose all over the backyard. Whatever product they used is not hardening and is just washing and blowing away. Further, they used the wrong colour. I have been communicating with John who eventually relented and said he would send someone to remove the existing and redo the sand. It was very very frustrating trying to get John to own up to the fact that they did a crappy job. John said someone would come by in 2-4 weeks and it has now been just over 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything. I sent an email asking for an update on timing but of course, no response. See pics below. This is not how it should look after a couple of weeks!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!
