I had 6 antique dining room chairs that suffered water damage from a leaking dishwasher (they were in the basement, and got "rained" on). Jeff was super easy to work with, first via email to show him some of the damage, and then of course in person. He provided an estimate so that I could make an insurance claim, and worked with a great apholsterer for the padding on the seats. The work Jeff and his team did was just stunning! The chairs are better than ever, and back in their rightful place in the dining room. I highly recommend Jeff for any refinishing work!

We inherited a Mahogany dining room set from my grandparents consisting of a table,8 chairs, a sideboard and a china cabinet.After much research and thought we finally decided to have it repaired and refinished by Wood Specialties.The finished products were nothing short of spectacular. Wood Specialties refinished our large dining room table and restored two badly neglected antique pieces – a gramophone and dresser. Jeff was a definitely a pleasure to deal with. He was very professional, his pricing was fair, and the work was completed promptly. He even managed to wood-turn a missing spindle leg so it matched the other dresser legs perfectly. if you are looking for a true craftsman who does exceptional work, I highly recommend Jeff.

Jeff has completed numerous refinishing assignments for me. He refinished an Imbuia Diningroom suite that was 20 years old. He totally revamped an antique bureau complete with beautiful leather inlay inside the pull down door. Another item Jeff made for me was a framed mirror. His work manship is par excellence and I highly recommend his services.

Spectacular results - nothing less. After a bad experience with another refinishing company that advertises in malls I was wary of everyone in this business. Jeff changed all that. The previous company worked me over pretty good but Jeff was very fair and did a better job than a company that charged 4x. The result was so good it makes the other job look average at best.

Jeff communicated very well, is very knowledgeable - he made some recommendations (which we took) that really helped - and didn't charge us more for them.

Professional, low pressure, respectful, and simply top notch work. You cannot beat this man's work and we absolutely will be using him for 3 other projects - another armoire and 2 antique repairs. All four projects will end up costing less than 1 project done by those other guys who send high pressure sales guys to your house and advertise in malls. I might burn a few 100 bills to make it feel like I considered the others. Am I being dramatic? No friends, Wood Specialities (Jeff) drives excellent work and a great value. Worth every penny and then some.

Jeff and his associates did a wonderful job refinishing several challenging pieces of fine and/or antique furniture that had belonged to my parents and grandparents.They did a thorough estimate of work required, and invited me to drop into their shop throughout the process so I could make decisions on colour, etc. Jeff did a lot of little extras for me, so that the old furniture would be strong and usable. Our boardroom table was badly damaged in a move and matched to chairs with much lighter wood legs and dated upholstery. Jeff was able to entirely hide the damage, re-cover the chairs and lighten the table beyond our expectations. The set is magnificient, and much better than anything that we could have bought new.
