On a friend of a friend's recommendation (and after bringing 3 different contractors through for estimates and ideas), we hired Lowell and his crew to renovate our basement. It had previously been rented to a tenant, and our goal was to upgrade it (new ceilings, floors, kitchen, and bathroom) to create a family hangout and space to accomodate the grandparents when they visit. I could tell after our first meeting that Lowell was the man for the job--he took the time to listen to what we wanted, and to offer suggestions that were in line with and enhanced our ideas.
We are absolutely thrilled with the finished product. It is high quality, and care was taken in each and every detail. Lowell and team are consummate professionals who were respectful of our space, friendly, and provided exceptionally high quality workmanship. We unfortunately ran into some pretty significant electrical and plumbing issues during the reno which increased the costs substantially from the original estimate. However, Lowell did his best to keep the additional costs as low as was possible without sacrificing on quality. We were in touch with him and his crew every step of the way, and always felt that it was a collaboration.
We ended up with a space that we absolutely love. It turned out better than we could have planned for, and as an additional bonus, it will no doubt substantially increase our property value.
Lowell and crew are fabulous to work with, and we would not hesitate to work with them again. After seeing our new basement bathroom, a friend was so impressed that he hired Lowell's team for his own bathroom reno--and he too is thrilled with the final product.
