This company does AMAZING work. I had leaking problems for over 20yrs that no body could ever fix. Gerry did!!! My bathroom is absolutely gorgeous............he picked up my tub driving an hour to pick it up and put it in. He was at my house every single morning at 630am.....
he is friendly and knows construction work very well.
Phase 2 will start in the spring. A new basement room.

Does anyone have any ‘VALID’ claims here??

This guy has done lots of work for me and I’ve always had a good experience. Just wondering it these claims is real or just a bunch of disgruntled people who wanted more for nothing??

I was skeptical at first because I had paid my deposit and then came across these reviews, and I actually called a private investigator that is apparenttly looking for this owner.

I found if odd when he told me that the owner could not be found, and yet he advertises and show up to complete work.

When I asked why he was never turned in for committing this so called “fraud”, he could not answer me straight. Well, the police actually do work and if you follow this attached link you see how “VALID FRAUD CLAIMES” are dealt with.

This guy took us for 80% up front, and then tore apart our house, never to return.
IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE THIS GUY IS, or where he is working I would actually pay for his home address.
I know of about 10 people on top of the people here that are looking for him.

If there is anyone out there who has dealt with this person GERRY LAROCQUE, OPERATING AS GIBRALTAR DESIGN & BUILD, Please contact me As soon as possible. This man is the sweetest person but that's a front, the is the biggist scam artist and fraud. Left my basement in a total wreck, totally destroyed my new floors and tiles, After collecting $5,0000, and doing very little, asking for more and more money and promising the work would be done, nothing only my money is gone, When I refused to give money for work that was not done, he took his single worker and packed up, I locked the basement door and called police, but he somehow managed to get my son to open the front door and while I was on the phone with police, he loaded up his tools, my tools, my most expensive materials, granite and marble tiles, and quickly drove off. PLEASE CALL ME, IF ANYONE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. LILLY 905-495-3954 All of my brand new flooring and done be my ex-husband is totally ruined, walls, fixtures, etc.

GERRY CAME TO MY HOME MR NICE GUY TOLD US EVERYTHING WE WANTED TO HERE ABOUT OUR RENO JOB GOT 2,000 TO START JOB BIN ETC. STARTED WORK ON TIME PRESURING FOR MONEY EVERY OTHER DAY SAYING GETTING ALL SUPLIES AND TAKING TO THE SHOP SO JOB WILL GET DONE FASTER. AFTER 2 WKS AND 8.000 DOLLARS THEY STOPPED COMING SAYING THAY HAD OTHER JOBS THAN ME TO BE PATIENT, STILL WITH FULL BIN IN OUR MUTUAL DRIVEWAY. NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY NEVER CAME BACK, THE BIN STAYED FOR 3 MONTHS. WERE STILL IN COURT HE MOVES AROUND ALOT, BUT WERE GOING TO GET HIM!!!!!!

We hired him for several things and paid him a 50% deposit. He started strong, ripping things apart with plenty of staff. I guess ripping things apart is the easy part because that was the only thing they really did. Actually getting the repairs was when we suffered. He left us in that mess ignoring phone calls for 2 months until we sued and at least recovered our kitchen cupboards missing for 2 months and finnished the work with others. He did have 400 sq ft of wood floor installed for us, which too 10 days and was badly done. We later had someone else finish the work who did 800 in one day. He Even had a girlfriend of his call us asking us to be nicer to him. She is the one who wrote the good review by the way.Horrible in every way.

My mother made the mistake of contracting with Gerry for major work without getting references and competitive quotes. As for others complaining here, he made promises that he would deliver and kept coming back for cash until 90% of the money was spent but work is far from done and what is done is of very inferior quality. He left off work in November last year and now does not return calls, has effectively abandoned the project leaving siding half done, roofing with significant issues, basement leaking worse than before. Take this man on at your own risk! His full name is Gerry L{edited}, and you can bet he will fold this company and be out working under another business name soon; his web site URL is no longer current (appears to be for sale again).
