Bathtub reglazing

A colleague met the Tub Guys at the Toronto Home Show and was impressed with the Tub Guys personally and professionally. Knowing we were researching tub replacement, she suggested we look into using the Tub Guys instead. 'The Guys' just left my home after the followup visit, and in the last 2 days I have gone from owning a 35 year old, chipped, stained, revolting turquoise tub to a shiny, beautiful white tub that looks like it just arrived from a high-end showroom... for just over $400! All my business interaction was online, and every person I dealt with online or in my home was friendly, professional, prompt and tremendously helpful and accommodating. There was no mess, some odour (but only for a few hours), and minimal inconvenience (couldn't use half the bathroom for 2 days). You need to book well in advance since the company owner works on every job, and they are booked well into the next few months. I can't say enough about the fabulous Tub Guys and their office manager, Angela! Thanks a million!

Bathtub refinishing

The old blue tub in our main bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade after swapping out the blue toilet and washbasin. The Tub Guys completed the transformation by coating the blue tub in white polymer, and the results are very pleasing.

The majority of the work was done in a couple of hours, including protecting all other surfaces from the re-finishing operations. A couple of days later the drain and overflow hardware were replaced and tub recaulked.

My wife was sceptical about the process at first, but now we are both very pleased with the results. Great job guys.

Bathtub reglazing

We were very pleased with the workmanship of the Tub Guys. They did a very good job, cleaned up and when we had a question, they were very accommodating in helping us out in new drains etc. Our tub looks like new.

Reglazing kitchen sink

Phenomenal results! As Will said, they left me speechless. We couldn't be happier!
We have a lovely old iron kitchen sink, double sink, double washboards, but it had been re-coated a couple of times with epoxy paint and who-knows-what. It was impossible to clean and the coating was peeling off and permanently filthy-looking (attempts to clean it just made it worse).
We met Will at the Home Show in March (and checked the company out on Home Stars as well), and the process seemed like a good fit for us.
Will and Chris were terrific -- the prep work involved in removing the inferior stuff used to coat the sink previously was really tedious and labour-intensive, but they did it properly and took the care needed to get really professional results.
If you're worried about the smell, it doesn't last very long. I'm very sensitive to paint fumes, varnishes etc., and usually can't sleep in a house that's been recently painted, but this product didn't have the same effect. That said, we were able to keep windows and the back door open for extended periods to ventilate.

Bathtub Reglazing

Will and Chris were both professional and efficient while restoring/reglazing a bathtub I had chipped by my own hand. Looking at an option to replace the bathtub altogether, the cost of hiring a plumber and installing a new piece would have run at least 1k if not more. When I found The Tub Guys during a Google search and compared the various methods employed by other tradesmen, the acrylic and epoxy alternatives are highly toxic and may require the occupants of a home to be displaced while the fumes settle over time. Also note that both epoxy and acrylic chemicals do not last as long as the advanced polymer that Will and Chris use. With proper cleaning and kid gloves, the polymer may last anywhere from 10-15 years onward. This is important to know in making your decision to call The Tub Guys if your in a tough spot and need a reasonable price for a job well done.

Chris had mentioned to me before he left my home that The Tub Guys had arranged an appointment with another client in September (2011). My service call was in early March and it's quite evident that many people are starting to realize that Will and Chris are the right tradesmen for the job. Because the damage to my tub was minimal and my reglazing was done for mere cosmetic purposes (I could have taken whiteout to it), after seeing the results post-op though I was taken with the fact I could I could see my relflection in the glossy finish and am glad I dropped my two-piece toilet in the bathtub just so I could give these fellas' some business and give my wife a piece of mind without having to look at unsightly chips.

To recap...

Stay away from do-it-yourself kits.
Stay away from tradesmen who still use acrylics and epoxies.

Do call The Tub Guys for professional results that will end up saving you money.

Good luck to all the homeowners reading this review with similar woes! You won't regret calling The Tub Guys.

Thank you Angela, Will and Chris. I'm more than happy to write this postive review of your firm. I'm thrilled with the quality of your craft.

Do your research. Whether it's making a phone call or searching a search engine, make sure that you know the pros and cons of each method employed by a firm. For me, the value of money spent, service delivered and results acquired from the transaction are crucial elements that I believe I have an impact on decision-making. Hence, I encourage you to read as many reviews from homeowners, commercial properties or otherwise to assess the quality you should expect if you call upon any tradesmen. I encourage you to call The Tub Guys, simply because they offer a superior product and service I couldn't manage to find in the G.T.A. Believe me, it wasn't for a lack of trying either. Best of luck on your project and I hope I've helped make the decision easier for you.

Stand alone cast iron tub resurfacing.

I had rust building around he drain of my tub, but otherwise it was in generally good shape. I met the tub guys at the home show and decided to take them up on their show special to have the tub redone. From the first email inquiry to the finished product and follow up appointment, the team was very clear with their approach and very professional. The tub came out very well.
