Roto-Rooter Sewer & Drain Service

Had a plugged drain from tree roots, ended up having 3 visits from this place - all because the job wasn't done the first time. First mechanic hammered hole in wall for no reason, didn't even ask permission!! had no idea what he was doing!!! Woman who answers the calls is completely rude. Company is ignoring all of my calls on who is going to repair the damage that they had caused. Never, never will call on these guys again. Spreading the news of this horrible experience with everyone I come in contact with. DON'T USE ROTO ROOTER - YOU'LL BE SORRY

I called in the morning and asked if they could come in the afternoon They called in early afternoon and said they were on their way. They did a great job with very little mess. Friendly & professional service person. I will use again.

I called roto rooter to deal with a drain that was backing up every time my tenants used the washing machine in the basement (a situation which I explained to the receptionist and the tech). The next day the problem was persisting so i called them back. As it turns out the tech had snaked the wrong drain by mistake and then insisted on billing me for both, saying "well the other one needed doing eventually." The tech proceeded to argue with me on the phone when informed him that I would have to call the manager to get the matter sorted out. I have yet to resolve this issue with the company, largely because the manager has not returned my calls, but rather, has lower level employees call me back who have no authority to deal with the manner. INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. I will NEVER deal with this company again.

Gentleman called and said he would be here in 1.5 hrs was at our place in 2 1/2 hours. He came in and said he didn't have the copper pipe needed so he ran out to the plumbing store which took him 1 1/2 hrs seemed long to get a part, maybe he stopped for lunch. Then he replaced it and charged us for 2 hrs labour (144.00) when he was only in the house for 30 minutes doing work. Parts supplies was another 89 dollars. Wouldn't get them to do this work again.

Good service, no problem there but when i had called RotoRooter it was specified there was a $24 service call and $68 an hr plus GST and parts, no mention of anything else. The plumber only charged the service call as he flushed the toilet and it worked. I thought it would be $24 plus tax, but he said "Oh no, there is a $24 travel fee and the $24 service call plus tax". Why is there no mention of the travel fee? I ended up having to go to the bank as I had to use up the cash I had on hand. People cannot read minds and I think it is deceiving not to reveal all costs.

Our sewer backed up twice within a few weeks and bioth times we called Roto-Rooter. Obviously, this is not the situation you want to deal with, but the gentleman was very nice and professional. On the second trip, they honored the 90 warranty and did not charge us for the service.
The cost was reasonable, and the work was good. The gentleman was left the room as he entered it and (aside form bleaching, etc) we did not have to clean up after him.
We would call them again, but I sure hope we never have to!!
