On the return the next day sales person correctly pointed out that the back of the invoice provided for a restocking fee and advised that it must have been one of the "new" people. I think that I should be able to rely on the information provided by their staff without having to review the back of the invoice. Not the money which was minimal, just the irritation of having to unsuccessfully deal with the autocratic sales person caused me to write a review. Also pointed out their inconsistent policy because with my earlier large contract goods were returned without a restocking fee? Customer relations sucks.

With apologies, my name is Vince Ricci and I am one of the owners of Speers Flooring. I was not aware of your situation until now and I did some research into our sales history and discussions with our team. There is an order in the system of 28 sheets of Ontario Series Taupe Matte 2” Hexagon mosaics (Cost sub total of $ 122.92) that may be the order of discussion. They were the last of our stock of this item and on the showroom floor for clearance.
It has always been our mission to provide the best professional service, product quality, and product selection at the fairest pricing possible. Returns, where possible, are accepted subject to our posted return policies or those of our suppliers. Restocking fees are collected to cover a portion of the costs associated with returning material to our warehouse, inventory systems, accounting, or supplier restocking and shipping fees. Most returns, however, are not returnable anymore due to changes in the industry and due to Covid. Certain situations are unique and may require involvement from a manager for special consideration and return authorization. Unfortunately, I was not involved in this situation until now.
After review, I see that this material return was processed and refunded. The refund of $ 122.92 was reduced by the posted minimal restocking fee of 25 % that was reduced to 20 % for you ( Net Restocking Fee was $ 24.58 ). I would like to suggest a solution that will achieve maximum benefit to everyone. I propose that we issue you a full refund of the restocking fee of $ 24.58
