Carpet reinstallation (after flood)
If only everyone provided this level of service! The corner of our basement was flooded due to a leak from a waste pipe. It was a small area (about 140 sq.ft.). I called Mark (always immediately available on the phone, by the way), and he directed me how to lift the carpet, dispose of the underpadding and allow the carpet to dry. The price quote for new underpadding and re-laying the carpet was very reasonable. Once dry, the carpet installer (Al) punctually arrived, and immediately noticed there was new water on the floor, so he couldn't do the installation. (It turned out the new flood was unrelated to the old one, this time from the furnace!). Al returned again once the carpet was dry to do the installation. He couldn't complete one small area because the floor was cold and the existing carpet couldn't be stretched enough (for fear it would tear). I talked to Mark the next morning, and HE apologized to ME for not being able to complete the work! After I adequately warmed the room, Al returned the next day to complete the job.
At every step of the way, both Mark and Al were pleasant, patient and responsive, and did excellent work at a reasonable price.
