City Star Moving

I was very pleased with the service. City star was a realiable, honest, hard working, and professional team. The move went very smoothly. I would definitely use their services again and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

The guys (3) showed up a few minutes late but that was no big deal to us. They came in and started working right away, they had our 2 bedroom apartment empty (up 4 flights of stairs on a 30+ degree day) in less than 2 hours and they took just 1 short break. Everything arrived in Mississauga unharmed (with the exception of an inexpensive MDF drafting table) and was unloaded and in our new apartment in about and hour and a half. The whole move took less time and was less than they amount quoted initially.

I was extremely happy with the service and have already told many people how great and easy the move was.

I booked City Star for a client and was promised two men and a truck for $83 an hour, showing up at 2:30 p.m. on the day of the move. When the day came, THREE men showed up half an hour early (which would've been great, except they were going to have to sit outside the drop-off location because they were going to get there too early to have access), then pressured my client into signing a contract stating she would pay for three men at $107 an hour.

When I called "Sid" to ask why this had happened, he said he would get to the bottom of it and call me right back. I waited around for about half an hour, then forwarded my home calls to my cell because I had some running around to do. No call came.

Two days went by, and when I called him back he told me that he DID call back within a few minutes - and that he remembered because it was in the evening. If he HAD called me back a few minutes later, it would have been around 3 p.m., and there was no message anyway, so I called bull. When I told him this, he said, "I'm not going to quibble over whether or not I called you. I know I did." He told me that the price worked out anyway, because three men work faster than two.

I asked for a copy of the contract so that I could actually see this for myself, because my client is now out of the country, and he told me that she had a copy, and there was no need to send me another.

I explained to him that I book moves for many clients across Canada, many right here in the GTA, and I would never be using his services again. The service was fine, but the dishonesty and unprofessionalism just isn't worth the trouble.

ADDENDUM: It wasn't the service I had a problem with, it was the unprofessionalism. Shawn says below that it was $99 an hour, yet my client swears she signed a contract stating she would pay $107 an hour...and now that she's out of the country and City Star won't let me have/see a copy of the contract, I have no way to prove or disprove this. When I told Sid that she was charged $107 an hour, he told me that she couldn't do math very well. I found his reactions to my questions immature and unprofessional. THAT is why I will not use City Star again - there was absolutely nothing wrong with the service.

Overall we had a great experience with our move. It did take longer then anticipated, but the movers were professional, poilte and they didn't make a mess or break anything. I would recommend and use them again.

It was a wonderful service rendered by City Star Movers. There was no breakage and damage to any of my stuff. I've recommended your name to few more people.

I can't expalin how happy i am, my move went great, the crew didn't even want to stop for brake since I was quoted 4 hours and they know they can do it in 3. I wish i could have gave them more but i think even they know i couldn't affort more, they went above and beyond call of duty which for that im greatfull guys.

I moved on Sep 7th with CITY STAR they were the best movers i had. They were very polite, and energetic. They had to move my stuff to a third floor with out using and elavator because there is no elavator in my building and they did not complain at all. I recommend CITY STAR moving to anyone u will not regret it. They are the best movers i have ever seen.

Moving is stressful,you are at the mercy of the mover you select. Luckily I selected City Star Moving. They arrived punctual, cheerful, ready and able. The crew was courteous, organized and methodical. Blistering heat and a looming thunderstorm, did not slow them down. City Star Moving understands the meaning of great customer service, at a
very fair price.

Hello All!
Just wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for all the hard work that Sid and Shawn overcame during my move, which started as the move from hell!! But once Shawn and Sid came I cannot remember any problems I had once they arrived. Very well organized and equipped with all the right equipment they were able to move everything and anything that I needed to move. A Sofa set that took six delivery guys from a furniture store, caused damaged to my house, and took several hours was like a piece of cake for Shawn and Sid who took no longer then 15 minutes to get the set out!! If you have ever wanted to find someone who appreciates the business you give them, and shows respect for all your property, whether it be big like a piano or small like a nightstand clock, these guys are exceptional. I have recommended City Star to all my friends and will continue to do so because I believe I have found the best in the business, both service wise and price!
Once again thank you guys for the experience of a perfect move, best of luck with everything and hopefully I will see you guys again when a friend or family member needs to move :c)
