Contacted them to do a patio extent ion - very small job but we wanted a credible company handling this rather than hiring a one off contractor. We were open and flexible on timing and put down 75% of the contract pricing in advance (December 2010) - and based on discussions (which we had in writing over the e-mail) the job should have been done in March - April 2011.
They finally showed up after much "bugging" in July of 2011. Job was estimated to take approx. 8 hours - 2 men at 4 hours each. One employee showed up for a few hours, left and didn't return for a few days. Again, upon many phone calls and receiving a call back from "Alan" with a "what's the problem attitude" was extremely frustrating. We live in a Strata and were VERY clear from the onset of the discussions that our landscaping day was Thursday and that this work was not to interfere with any landscaping work in our complex. Well - not only did they show up on a Thursday (which I had to say no to the and delay them coming to another week) when they did show and then leave after a few hours, they left all their equipment and materials all over the yard for another few days which again was going to overlap with our landscapers coming in that week as well.
Once they finished the job (very sloppy and uneven) they also damaged our Natural Gas Line on the patio on the edge of the house while fitting paver stones in. In the end, Alan had the nerve to threaten us over final payment when I approached him on the shotty job they.
The whole process (which seemed to start out very professional) ended up to be very unprofessional and poorly executed. It's unfortunate as Alan puts up a good front.
In the end I had discovered many people who had very similar experiences with this company and Alan personally. Bully, Bully, Bully. That was the common thread.
This company does not deserve your hard earned dollars - there are many other good ones out there - we learned that the expensive way when we had to rehire another company to come out and completely redo the area.
Very unprofessional and very poor workmanship displayed.
