We called Simpson Electric to come and repair a lighting fixture in our on-suite bathroom. The electrician accidently broke the fixture and a soap dish. This happened in the week of November 18. Since then, we have been trying to get compensation for these broken items, without any success.
We send e-mails to enquire about the status of this claim; however, most of our e-mails are unanswered. They have ordered a new fixture without showing us what they ordered and are trying to replace a soap dish that we bought more than two years ago, which is an impossibility.
We have asked for a resolution to this issue by December 13; however, when we e-mailed them with this request on December 9, 2019, we have not had the courtesy to receive any feedback. They asked us what the value of our bathroom accessories would be to replace. We promptly sent a response on December 9 and the issue has been in limbo since then.
We are very frustrated by this company's interaction with us as they either ignore our e-mail messages or are very slow in responding. We do not want to have to take the matter further; however, unless we hear back from them with a firm commitment to settle this issue, we will need to take further action. We would prefer to get the issue dealt with in an amicable manner; however, if we are not given any choice, we will need to take further action to get compensated. We understand that this was an accident; however, we should not be responsible to replace these items as we were not the ones who had the accident.
They have gone ahead an ordered a new light fixture without showing us what they have ordered and when we requested to see the fixture, we did not receive any response.
Things are fine with this company as long as everything goes smoothly without a hitch!!! We will never deal with them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
We have not paid anything for the work as the electrician was not able to make the repair as he broke the light fixture before the repair was done.
