Top drawer service for more than reasonable price

I had a water crisis that presented itself in a large water stain in my finished basement ceiling. This was right before we were heading off on holidays and I was stressed about the potential extent of damage, cost, and ability to repair before we left. A friend recommended Rusty Pipe and I am so thankful. Rusty was quick to respond, on time to arrive, thorough, professional, reassuring, and gave me options, rather than the "here's the only fix". I've been a homeowner for 30+ years and dealt with many trades in renovations and repair. This was one of the top experiences I've had. If you're looking for professional, honest, thorough, and polite at an absolutely reasonable cost, Rusty Pipe cannot be beat. Thanks Rusty!

New Home Build

Rusty was a life saver. As we were our own general contractor we needed trades we could trust to help us complete our dream home. Rusty not only installed our heating and plumbing systems, he helped design them and suggested several nice little additions (such as a timer/pump for instant hot water on those cold mornings). I would not hesitate to recommend Rusty to any homeowner or home builder; in fact I have on several occasions.

gas line hook up, water tank repair

We have had Rusty from Rusty Pipe Mechanical come to our house on a few occasions. He has fixed things from our hot water tank to hooking up a gas line from the house to the garage. He has alway been on time, when he is here he is fast and gets the job done right. He is very friendly, and treats you like a friend. I would recommend them to anyone.

Fix a leaking hot water tank.

Called Rusty Pipes to get my tank fixed. They were very quick in coming and did a great job. I thought it was going to cost so much more then it did. When they were done they made sure all of their mess was cleaned. Very professional crew and I would recommend them for sure.

Broken Heater

Called Rusty at 10:30 on a friday he said he would pencil me in for this afternoon...

he called back making some excuse about a broken car wash he had to run off to this was at 3:00. apparently commercial contracts are far more important then a little broken heater job like mine.

He clled me again 2 hours after he said he was going to show and told me not to go anywhere and he'd be by in the next 2 hours... either that or reschedule for monday. one of the two.

of course right away i knew he was just sideballing me.

It's one thing to tell someone that they are too busy and can get the job done monday that would have been just fine. but Rusty had me wait at the house all day long. and he didn't even call back sayin he wasn't going to show.

It's saturday, so here I sit in my house currently 14 degrees celcius wondering why I decided to hire this guy. 2 more days to go... maybe he will fit me in monday if it's not too much of an inconvience for Him.

Cold and sick and tired.
Eric

What could this company do to improve their services?
actually come in to fix my heater and not just lie to me on the phone.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Make sure that you hold him to his work otherwise your project might take an extra week.
