Moving companies and their staff are amongst North America's most maligned workers. So when we started searching for a reliable company to move our treasured possessions built up over nearly 50 years of marriage, we were really concerned about finding the best available
company. We researched several companies, got quotes from a number and finally settled on Salmon's Transfer Ltd of Richmond,
British Columbia, to move us from Vancouver to near Calgary, Alberta.And wow, what a great choice. Over the course of the move, all the staff were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They packed up our household goods, drove 19,000 pounds of our furniture, art and memorabilia collected from around the world, about 1300 kilometres across BC just as winter was setting in and delivered two full trucks to our doorstep two days later. And NOT ONE item was damaged. Everything was done with a smile. I can't recommend the Salmon's highly enough. They have been in business for over 100 years - for a reason. And, by the way, their quote for the move was 33 per cent less than the closest other quote. I can't recommend them highly enough. Top notch.

Just amazing. I had to move on short notice and Salmon’s transfer came through for me and my family in such a way. From the moving consultant who said, “don’t worry we will take care of everything” when I said I didn’t want to lift a finger to the highly professional and experienced movers that showed up moving day. Did I mention I had a full gym that had to be taken apart and reassembled? Or the ikea furniture to be built? Above and beyond! I would recommend this company to anyone wanting the white glove treatment

The crew was really well organized, positive and had an accommodating and flexible approach to their work. The weather was POURING rain, completely not the kind of conditions you’d hope for on moving day. Even still, the crew was upbeat and worked so hard to get the job done. 100% would hire again.

I have moved several times in the last 5 years and made the decision to spend a little more money and hire reputable and professional movers to help.
This was the best decision I could have made and I will never again try and save a few bucks using fly by night moving companies or asking friends and family for help.
Salmon's Transfer sent a 5 ton truck with three of the most organized and hard working people I have met. They were able to move our entire apartment, which filled the entire truck, into the truck within 4 hours.
They drove to the new location and unloaded everything into the correct rooms within another four hours. They did all of this without damaging a single item and with a positive attitude the entire time.

Seeing what it took for their team to complete this move in 8 hours I can't even imagine how long it would have taken doing it "the old way".
