The contract promised a home built with "good workmanship." What I got instead was a house that was leaking from the second story wall all the way down to the basement. They also didn't want to fix it, they deceived Tarion that it was all fixed, when in fact nothing except a superficial inspection had been done. They waited until 8 months later, when there was another huge leak into the house. Everything else that needed fixing was also about chasing them endlessly to do the work. And they were always trying to squeeze me out of anything they could. For example, they tried to convince me that the front porch didn't need steps when there was about two feet between the ground and the porch! Do yourself a favour and find a builder who has at least SOME integrity and ethics. This one has about ZERO.

Company seemed to be good to start with, down hill from there. I asked for one change on the plans as it is a new build they fought me on it then gave in. I asked for prices for certain items all seemed to be $600 found out from neighbours they were charged less for the same items. House was not cleaned prior to move in day nor were the items fixed that were requested from walk through before closing. Offered them chances to repair before sending to Tarion they did not respond until they received Tarion letter. They sent someone who arrived late and not prepared to review the items. I had to supply the list. They were dressed to be at a pool party. Have not heard a thing from them since. I am to have landscaping this is the time of year to do it ....heard nothing. I have repairs that need to be taken care of and it appears they will not happen. I thoroughly enjoyed the nails they left in my carpet that I keep cleaning up after step on them. Mydriveway will be garbage by next spring as it is falling apart.

Rockmount homes promised many things that would be repaired after the home inspection. They never showed up when they said they would. I had to continue contacting them. They had there painter paint overtop a TimHortons cup mark that was left there for weeks. Their workers continues to leave there dirty garbage all over the properties. Rockmount homes are a joke. They contract all there workers. They don’t have a team of there own. And this is why they are NOT good home builders. So many mistakes and still after 4 months nothing has been done.

We had to remodel the old country house, make an extension to the house, replace the roof and completely decorate the house inside and out. We waited for a very long time for the brigade to be released. Why we chose particular this company, I don't remember. I just intuitively liked the title. When the work was over, we sighed with relief: "Thank God, we were not mistaken with the choice." Everything was done very quickly and even better than we could have imagined.

Our experience building our first "new home" with Rockmount was beyond easy. We were anxious building a house from scratch, design hasn't been much of a forte of ours but Alycia was so helpful making choices and helping us get everything together. The contractors were respectful and happy to explain things when we had questions. The building process went along smoothly and now that we've been moved in for a few months, I am very confident we made the right call building with Rockmount Homes. They are truly a league above their competitors.

Customer service is very poor. We never get any follow up calls, we are never told when things will be taken care of and fixed. There were some issues we had brought up in our final walk through and they have never been addressed.
