Glass table

I ordered a small glass table in March from the Markham location, and was told it was in stock in Montreal and would take two weeks to get to Toronto. I received a call, but was then told that only one piece was in and they shouldn't have called. After 4 more weeks, I called back and was told that the table was in - I'm not sure how long it had been sitting there, or why the salesman couldn't call me. I went to pick it up, only to learn that there were two bases and no glass top. I spoke with the manager who told me that he would have to get me another glass top from Montreal - within 2 weeks. They should try using UPS, they'd have much quicker delivery. It's now coming up to two weeks - still no word. Very disappointed in Mobilia and their customer service. They have many salesmen standing around, but no one following through on what happens after they make the sale. I will be cancelling the order tomorrow.

bought sofa and love seat

I purchased a sofa set from Mobilia in February.
Was told it would be 8-10 weeks becuase i special ordered the leather, to my surprise i got a call 4 weeks after saying my sofa set was in and ready for delivery.
They told me they could deliver it in the next 2 or 3 days if i was ready for it. I had it delivered the delivery guys were great, very polite and helpful. We noticed a little mark on the front of the sofa and were instructed by the delivery guy to call Mobilia for a service guy. I spoke to Raquel the next day and she was more very helpful, we had a service guy over the next week and he did a great job. I can not even see where the nick was anymore.

I read alot of reviews after I made my purchase and was very scared. So i wanted to make a point of writing a review since most people only take the time to write bad ones.

I will be back to Mobilia to buy more things when I get a chance to.

2-piece Sectional

I would like to share my horrible experience with Mobilia in Markham that is still unresolved. I have placed an order for a 2-piece sectional back in July 2008. This couch arrived on the 3rd week of DECEMBER after 2 no-show pre-booked deliveries. When I contacted the store, they pointed their finger to the warehouse people. No one took any accountability. One of the piece was also damaged, the fabric was torn and punctured in 2 places. Customer service agreed to have it replaced. March 2009, I received the replacement piece only to find out that it was in the WRONG colour. When I contacted customer service, I was told that the sectional has been DISCONTINUED. I have to now look for a replacement couch altogether (which could drag on for another year based on this experience) or have the fabric patched. I had already purchased an area rug and a coffee table to match and fit the couch. So, based on someone's mistake, and after waiting for 9 months, I still don't have a proper sectional, and I have to go through the entire ordeal again - assuming that I will find something that will fit the other furnitures that I have already purchased. I strongly urge you to STAY AWAY from this store. The store owner, Kevin, does not address anything and there is no linkage between the sales people and the warehouse. I had to call the warehouse myself, take pictures of the damaged sectional, chase after the delivery guys. My mistake was that I have placed other orders with this store previously, and the issues with no-show deliveries and parts missing from the furnitures had not been uncommon, but because I liked the quality and design, I went back there, giving them another chance. I am still paying for this terrible mistake. Don't make the same mistake.

NEW BED

Bought a new bed from Mobilia.
In store service was "ok".
bed took 1 month longer than was supposed to.
Not the leather we ordered.
When it arrived the guys who put it together did a piss-poor job.
damaged the frame and made it impossible to take apart.
Mobilia had to send out someone to take the bed apart..it needed new holes drilled on site as the original screw holes were damaged.
It took 3 weeks of calls before they made an appointment to actually have the guy come out.
Fortunately the repair guy was awesome!!

Mobilia Interiores

The worst !! Do not ever buy from this store. I bought a couch that was supposed to be delivered in 10 weeks and I am still waiting for it. It has been 15 weeks and every time I call the store it is the same excuse , the truck did not bring it this time , it comes every end of the week. You will have to wait, bla bla bla. I am trying to find out a way to do something about it. I am checking my contract and going to the store, maybe to get some of my money back since i did not pay for everything yet.

I would recommend the company to improve their delivery service and speed up their process.

Home furnishings

Initially, our cancelled bed order (ordered in September and cancelled by the salesperson in November) due to change in manufacturer was not actually cancelled, and I had to initiate the inquiry as to the status of the refund of my deposit. The bed was in fact delivered to the Mississauga warehouse, but no call was made to us about this. Upon speaking to the salesperson on December 28, he said that the bed was in the warehouse. We could still have the bed and would receive a $100 credit for the inconvenience. As of today, February 24, I have received no credit and the customer service representative has not returned phone calls since January. In addition, the bed was delivered with missing pieces, partially set up, and with a chipped headboard. I had to make frequent, daily calls, to customer service to get this repaired. After almost a week, a high long distance charges, and calling the repairman at home, the bed was assembled. No apologies were made or credit for the damaged headboard. I do not recommend Mobilia Ontario (the Quebec customer service, to which I was erroneously directed by the Burlington Store manager to get us off his case, was terrific and made the Ontario connection for us)to anyone in Southern Ontario.

recliner

Recliner fabric wore through before the first year was up. To their credit they did replace chair but with same fabric. Within a year it wore through again. Now no return calls from customer service. Haven't heard a thing back after repeated phone calls. Can never speak to anyone. Totally frustrating. Will NEVER shop Mobilia again and would never recommend it to anyone. This has been the worst purchase experience I have ever had. $1500 chair that looks terrible

Dining room set

I would never have allowed them to make me pay upfront before I received the goods if I knew the customer service was going to be this bad! Managers-USELESS! Delivery promises-UNRELIABLE!! Never returned my calls! Never acknowledged their inconveniences! First and last time buying any furniture at Mobilia! The delivery guys(A-Team) were the only pleasant and amazing part of all this! THEY should be the ones managing!

they do carry some good, beautiful stuff, but their owner(melanie@mobilia.ca) should be aware of their bad delivery service and "non-exist" warehouse dispatch center in Toronto. It's so frustrated to get hold of their warehouse and .......

FURNITURE - DINNING TABLE

I humbly request you not to buy anything from Mobilia. You will regret all your life. Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I bought a dining table on Nov 3, 2008 and I was supposed to get the delivery of my table and chairs by end of Nov, 2008. I would have made at least 25 - 30 calls to Mr. Kevin, the Manager at the Markham Store and to their Warehouse in Mississauga, I never got any response from either one, Not eve a courtesy call to say that the delivery will be delayed. Remind you, a week after I placed my order, they had even advertised “buy today and get delivery before Christmas". Well finally I got a call from the Warehouse on 29th Dec, 2008 for schedule delivery. And guess what they only delivered the chairs and bottom of the dinning table... The glass top it will be coming in April 2009!!!! Can you believe it? I had a similar previous experience with this store, I thought its one time mishap. Second time, I don’t think it’s an error, that’s the way they function. No wonder their couple of other locations in GTA has already closed. If they continue this kind of service they will close this location soon as well. I even tired calling their head office, but the response is same. Sorry and we cannot help, please speak to warehouse. I have even tried to speak to warehouse manager Richard. Who is another, Kevin, who doesn’t care about their customer. Please please don’t buy anything from this store you will regret.
