Pleasantly surprised

Hired Action Movers for a pretty simple move but it involved 1 expensive, difficult to deal with sofa. Movers were 1/2 hour late but friendly and apologized.
Our sofa did end up getting damaged through a difficult doorway, but they have been helpful in rectifying the situation. I would say hire a white glove company for higher end furnishings but Action Movers is great for a typical move. Although it didn't go super smooth, they've been quite helpful in our situation.

Approximate cost of services:
$360.00
What could this company do to improve their services?
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?

Late, property damage

Hired Action Movers for a pretty simple move but it involved 1 expensive, difficult to deal with sofa. Movers were 1/2 hour late but friendly and apologized. When they attempted to get the sofa out of the apartment I could tell these guys were not experienced and had to get them to stop. They wedged the sofa in the door and ripped the upholstery while putting a significant hole in the drywall.
This sofa got into the place with no problem or damage so shouldn't have been an issue getting out. After moving it back to the living area and rewrapping it, we got it out under my direction with no issues, but the damage was done.
Then after having the truck loaded, it had a dead battery and they needed me, the customer, to boost their truck on a busy 1 lane Vancouver street....hectic. I emailed the owner regarding the situation right away and haven't received a response.
I wouldn't recommend Action Movers for anything other than a straight forward move of boxes. Or if you want to hire a mover and feel like you're actually working for them as a supervisor.
