SOO BAD... POOR SERVICE, POOR WORK... DISASTER

No customer service ... You will be lost after paying your life time savings, cheapest materia had been used. Lots of defects. Once informed the defects no responses.. I am lost after paying life time savings.

No any responsible person to contact. Fake phone numbers in e mails. Government should take action against such deciever.

Regret sterling

Sterling is really bad when it comes to warranty service! They even toom Covid as they're excuse not to do inspection in our home that we purchased last summer of 2020 only. We've already experienced severe frozen windows and doors, severe moisture during our first winter. They've been sending us emails about how to avoid these and that.

I lived in different houses before and we never had experienced that. There's no way I have to turn my vents throughout the day to get rid of moisture when there's only me and my wife breathing inside the house.

They kept telling us to turn off humidifiers when we don't have any, clearly they know their houses are badly built.

So far, no technician have visited us to see our issues. Now it's summer time again, do we have to wait next winter snap to see someone?

I do not recommend STERLING,

Service

I bought the house in2019 and had 1 year warranty. After that i found some issues in the house like cracks in the window frame as well.as door frame and some other place too.there was a service indicator sign pop on the thermostat .. basement has leakage .we complaint no one came to fix .sterling gave us a cell phone number of the guy ,who should fix this issue. We tried to contact him to fix our house issue .but he didn't come.we texted him he didnt reply......now.its 2021 .

Services

We dealt with Chantelle MacKenzie, she was very professional and knowledgeable.
It never felt like we were bothering her, every question we ask throughout this process from since December to February she answered. I would definitely recommend her.

Home buyer

The price for the home was amazing but it felt afterworlds that they are trying to make up for the loss. Work still continues at my home. Exterior construction will be completed. Electrical cut the corners over all. eg no light switch for dining and living Lights near the stairs. when I asked why the lights in living are put in four corners the answere was the Joist. Location. There are joists every 24 inches so the lights could have been moved. So they are relying on my ignorance. Cabinet doors were not correct and I informed them but after a month not been fixed. The roofer left some thing on the roof yet to be picked up. The friend who referred me is still not paid for reference yet. It is a good house but these tiny hiccups will ruin your experience.

Repair/Warranty Response

I purchased my new home in 2016 from Sterling Homes. First, i commend them for the delivery of the home on date as promised. The most commending aspect of my experience, is with the warranty unit. I had a leakage issue and got in touched with the Warranty Unit. Trevor - Sterling employee in charge, was amazing; as he went far and beyond my expectation. He did not only respond and initiate a repair process for the leakage, he identified issues i didn't call him for and fixed them. This was very impressive!

Warranty Issues

I have bought a sterling home a duplex show home and was happy with my purchase and to think we got a home i wanted.
When we bought this house we and notice some wear and tear in house which were promised to be fixed before we move in which sterling home fixed most of it. Out of which major issues there was pealing and bubbling of vinyl plank flooring issue. The warranty department guy show up a visit in initial month but never did anything and promised to get it fixed in next visit. We deal with snow buildup in winter at same flooring and bubbling and pealing of flooring in summer.
Ever since we moved in there has been issues with flooring started peeling off again in 4 months. I have tried calling and messaging and claim warranty to come get it fixed before it gets it worse. But I received no response. Now its been almost 8 months. And the flooring is bubbling and extending. Still no response from warranty team.
I see other homes in my neighborhood have their builder's warranty department coming and fixing things but no response from sterling home warranty department as they blame all on covid 19 and they stopped home visits.
We are growing our family and soon will have a baby in 2 months. Me and my wife wanted to deal with warranty issues before we have a baby. We should have been focusing on our happy family moments rather than we have been stressing about the warranties issues.

Poor response from warranty department.

Thank you for your feedback and we have your concerns logged.
Just for your information though, your concerns were brought to us in May this fell within the timeline of us being shut down. All warranty interior work was suspended as of March 16th due to COVID and we have not resumed appointments at this time.

Poor Service

Prompt reply if you are looking to purchase a property but STERLING will definitely IGNORE you when it comes to REFUND. We have been patiently waiting for almost 2 months now for our hard earned money. Followed up several times thru text messages , online CS and phoned the office, the lady who answered just told us they just mailed a bunch of cheques but could not guarantee if one of those cheques are ours. If STERLING can not look after a simple refund process, how much more with bigger issues? Glad we cancelled the contract. It only shows, they are fake and really does not care about their clients.
