We have a character home (translation: it's a classic, +100 year old, Bloor West Village cozy abode). Although it has been well loved and cared for, it still needed some freshening up. I quoted 3 different painting companies and even though ColourWorks wasn't the lowest price, it certainly was the best choice in terms of customer service, attention to detail, brainstorming & problem solving -- not to mention the overall high quality of the end product. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.

I used Homestars to find painters that could give me an estimate on this workplace whiteboard wall that we wanted. Dee responded quickly, was very professional (I especially liked the electronic contract) and followed up on the work done. He was also willing to research the project that I was interested in as it was not straightforward at first. The painter who did the work was polite, friendly and did a great job! Our house needed a paint job internally. ColourWorks was recommended to us. Dee came over and spent a fair amount of time looking at the job and giving us his suggestions as well as listening to our input. Within the next few days his team was in the house and got the job done to our satisfaction - additionally his team of Cameron and Andy were very friendly and were willing to even help out with small touch up jobs. After seven years and 2 kids, my wife and I decided it was time to get rid of the builders paint and add a splash of color on our main floor. With an open concept house, it is difficult to figure out what works best, where to stop one colour and start another, to say the least, we were overwhelmed. We decided it was best to speak to a pro. After a couple of calls and no one standing out as a front-runner we found Colourworks Painting through Homestars. After reading the glowing reviews, I gave Dee a call.

3 Days later, Dee was at my house. We spoke to him about our budget and scale, and he spent literally 2 hours at our house looking at every possible scenario and every colour on the wheel. Not only did Dee give us advise for the the current project, but he outlined the big picture for us. He presented us a quote that was within our budget, and we agreed Dee was our guy!

5 Days later, all the work was done. Chair rail, accent wall, repairs, everything. The knowledge and skill of the painter was evident, and the attention to detail was remarkable. Friendly, approachable, PUNCTUAL ( a rarity amongst many trades), this service is easily amongst our tops in recommendations. Dee and his staff are true professionals in every sense of the word.

My wife and I look forward to scratching together more money for our future painting projects, Dee will be the only one we call!

Dee spent the most time with us getting to know the house and writing a comprehensive and thorough estimate. The colour he chose for our house is beautiful! His team worked hard to make sure the job was done on time as within budget. They were punctual and very tidy at the end of the day. The most friendly professional painting service I've ever seen. Mr. Potter’s team did a great job painting my room and the kitchen. They were on time and the job was done quick and without any mess. The price was very reasonable.

It can be challenging to select people to do work in your home. You worry if you can trust them, are you getting a fair price, will they come back if you aren't totally satisfied - until you are?
