When I hired Mackie Moving, one of their associates came to my house for a walk through and I received a quote that was pretty accurate as compared to the final cost of the move. During this time, I expressed my disappointment with other movers I have hired in the past and what my expectations were. The associate Jessica assured me that I would be in good hands. Moving day came and these three young kids came. As they walked through the house they had a look of disdain at the amount of stuff that needed to be moved which surprised me because they are MOVERS. They worked very slow and took numerous breaks throughout the day, and the number of breaks increased as the day progressed. Also, when I asked one of the movers to put runners down before moving items into the new home and when I noticed that the first two pieces he moved had scratched the beautiful hardwood floors and I politely pointed it out to him he gave me attitude - young punk attitude. Mackie did slightly reduce the total cost of moving after I spoke to them but overall I was very disappointed, especially because I had received some degree of reassurance that they would do a great job.
